Cave level :)

Looked at Maximu's awesome cave level which is why it looks so similar, just for practice. Making another one why my own twist later. Might have overused the grass spots a little, also, some of the desert grass tiles are blocking >.< very annoying. Trying to fix that, but I cant seem to find any other non blocking ones.

Very cool, dude. Excellent structure for a cave. The layering looks very nice.

Cool, but too dark (the lighted one).

The original is pretty cool as well.

Very nicely done, but there are a few minor things I would fix.

Firstly the all to common error with the diagonal north walls. You probably can't spot the tiles in my screenshot but there is a slightly different pair of tiles that go into these diagonal walls that give a long diagonal wall a smoother look (you might see it if you look really close at my screenshot, look slightly left from the waterfall and you'll see it).

Second would be the stairs. The tiles you used are made for expanding staircases, and have no borders around them, so they don't look quite right.

Third is watch your copy/pasting. I noticed a lot of grass patterns were repeated.

I like it. The only problem with max's and yours is that the dirt part is very plain. Don't know any workarounds but just fiddle around.

Max's darksand on the outside border (on the top) were more straight, while yours are a bit too bubbly. You should straighten it out as it looks a bit ugly the way it is.

Dim the level.

Really I'm of the opinion that the outside should be very plain. If it gets all crazy with the details it will really distract players from the areas that matter. This is just a nice alternative to a back blackground.

I agree that the detail around the edge is to bubbly.

Things I would also change is I would use less of the dead grass and add a few of the two red stones that go with the sand tiles.

Outside of that some lighting effects like Crono suggested.

Level is dimmed, but alt+1 wont catch it Also, I cant make any nice light effects. I can only use seteffect xD

Thanks for the compliments and tips, I'll fix the bubbliness around the edges and look for the smoother diagonal tile :P Also, red stones?

[Edit] Never mind, I see the stone you mean now :P Never noticed it was red.

Fixed bubbliness, removed most repetitive grass spots. Tried the red stone, but no.. It looked weird to me.
