Guide for Graal2001...

I made this little list of tips for people that want to buy/sell/trade items and things on the graal 2001 server.. there are some other tips here as well.. read on:

1. Do not lend money to people if you don't know them personally because most likely you will not get it back

2. Do not make any type of trade or deal involving anything without a Police staff being present and aware of the deal because you WILL get ripped off.

3. Ripping people off is not a crime if no police were there to witness it.. use this to your advantage, and use it to be aware of fraud.

4. Do not drop money or items near any other players other than the ones you are giving them to.

5. Don't fall for "too good to be true" deals.. If it seems too good to be true "I will trade you my bomy for 200 gralat" then it probably is.

6. If you aren't a pker and one is attacking you, pause or try to run away.. If you aren't going to fight them to the death, DO NOT fight them.. this is just aggravating on both sides. (aka player attacks other player and then pauses when they are about to die)

7. Don't beg for money if you don't have any.. I know it's hard earning money when you have no money to purchase tools to earn with, but just wait and you will eventually get money.. don't mass message everyone asking for 30 gralat so you can buy tools...

8. Even when police are witnessing a trade, there isn't much they can do if you get scammed, besides jailing the other player for a short period of time.. You might not get your money back and they might get to keep it anyway so its really pointless sometimes.

9. The best way to get items and things is to buy them at auctions or buy them from npcs.. I really don't suggest you trade/sell/buy anything from any player.. Everyone if given the opportunity will steal from you without a second thought.

10. If you MUST trade, then ask around to check out the other players reputation.. If you get people telling you that they have been scammed by that person, then I suggest you avoid them at all costs.. Also you have to watch out for the persons friends to say "Oh he is great he won't rip you off" these people are pretty obvious so it shouldnt be too hard to weed out the good from the bad.

I hope these helped someone somewhat.. seeing as how a lot of the posts here have to do with people getting ripped off and scammed...

Oh and most importantly.. if you get ripped off or scammed, DON'T POST ABOUT IT HERE! All it will do is make you look like a fool because you got scammed in the first place. And frankly, I think people are getting tired of reading "I got scammed" topics. =)
