Sailor pw?

hello,

medieval futuristic western classic and rp servers in develop or alrdy playable.
but is there anyone server that specializes on Sailing? like fleets (tradingship Pirates and whatever there was in around anno 1500~1700.

myth-simba had somany Ideas for Graal Kingdoms with Sailing but nothing happend.. but if there was a server that specializes on this kind of things i think it would be really really great.

so my questing is there a team whos building up this kind of server? i would really want to take a look on it

At the moment I don't believe anyone had an idea like that, but it does seem like something a server owner would jump on.

It's like that.. Uncharted waters game from SNES, that's kinda what it reminds me of.

But yeah, no servers like that yet, the closest you'll get is probably GK.

First thing that popped into my head when I saw this title was that game also. Lots of fun, stock your ship with food and trade goods. Fleet battles and duels. Buy a bigger or faster ship. Lots of fun.

I was thinking about this

U start on a island , there starts a small on tutorial (like on the most servers)
after that tutorial u leaned what kind of professions there are (u can only have 1 or 2 so u cant everything by ur own like kingdoms -.-) and other things like how to control ur ship how to dock and all those things

back to the professions

Gatherers
Lumberjack
Miner
Farmer
herbology
etc... there could be way more but i just woke up brain still halfafk

Crafters:
"TreeCutter" (i dont know the word) Transforms the logs into board, this boards can be used for building a ship or repairing by a Shipbuilder

Cabinetmaker
Buys the boards from the treecutter and can create things like chairs and stuff.

Shipbuilder
he build-ups ships but he cant just do it by boards and logs he needs from a cabinetmaker like fence chairs tables beds and other things, The Shipbuilder also needs thinks from a blacksmith an anchor or Cannons.

Blacksmith
he makes out of the iron anchor and things what a blacksmith does, he also can create Cannons and Cannonballs but for the balls he needs extra powder from the druggist...

Druggist
he buys from the herbology his herb and can make medicine and potions or just different powders for other professions

Barkeeper
he can create his own pub or supplies his crew with food and alcohol
he gets his materials from a farmer and a druggist
he also could create his travelling pub on his trading ship to trade around the globe to hungry people...

This idea is kind a stolen from WoW but after u created something ur Skill point goes up and after like 20 Skill points u can learn something new.

I also was thinking about a crew can only have 4 up to 6 members wo a crews just Needs to Trade with other crews so the economy wont die out like on kingdoms.

There will also a Few Different kind of Ships

NubShips
Caravel

Battle
frigate
Gaelic
Armada
Galleon
Golden Hinde

Trading
Small trade ship
Large trade ship

NPC Controlled
Lines ship
Ships of the Royal fleet
"blackbearts" small and Medium Pirate Ships (frigate Galleon)

Just a few I know but there a lot more
(a shipbuilder can only build the first later the big ones after a few created ships)


Reputation
If u kill ships of the Royal fleet or Reputations with the Pirates increase but of the royal fleet decreases
or something like that there could be a few other "kingdoms" to or just forget this idea.. but sailing wouldn’t be boring if u have a few NPC enemies after destroying an ship it will drop like boards or food wool and such things that can be fish up and sell to other players.

There also should be an Neutral NPC kingdom that trades items from kingdom to kingdom and has his own trading ships around the globe and offers his wares to sell.

Leveling:
Well it has to be fair for everyone
Someone who has a lot off spare time and someone who hasn’t.

Items:
Items shouldn’t play a big deal and the only event items are just in a different colour or for decorating but the statistics are the same of an craft able items.
After using an item for your crew/ship u cant sell it anymore.

Example:
your crew got a small frigate and u all just collected enough Event coins for an Maria to place on the front side of your ship. This Maria increase your Crews Charisma to charm an kingdom reputation.

The most rare items drop from monsters anyways with 0,01% so everyone has a chance to collect good items for his crew.

PvP/PK: Tips are welcome here!
Well I dont know your crews ship is that what u worked on and putt all your work on
So it wouldn’t be fair if u lose in a battle and all was for nothing.
So how do I salve this problem because sinking other ships is the greatest fun there is.

Who ever saw an Pirate movie knows how this works
The controller drives the ship near the target and the other 4 crews members jump with ropes over to the other on and try to beat the hell out of them. After an success they rob they cargo and burn they sails and leave them back.

This idea has popped up a few times, i wanted to make it after i saw some anime show called One Piece :P I remember Ziro was going to make one.

And a few others, but those all died You should defernately make this, but screw leveling, concerntrate on guilds and their ships, being able to upgrade as a team and work as a team
