Depends on progress

Maybe tonight if I start working on it more, though I've got language classes today so I'm supposed to be studying later... I'm sure we all know how that sort of thing works out

To everyone else, sorry for the lack of progress, it's been a buys last few days. Between filling out marriage documentation and applying for a Visa here in Japan along with language classes, free time's been sparse - there should be progress sometime though

You'd guess correct - if you were to ask me, I'd tell you they're the best women in the world. Obviously I've told you even though you didn't ask

Anyway, on the topic I played around with a bit of cliff work tonight so a couple of pictures are in order I suppose. Enjoy... or not - your choice

You may notice the cliffwork is oddly a bit smoother - I edited my pics1.png slightly due to pics1's cliffs sucking.

I've been around for a while - this is a 'new' account (read: not exactly new but I'm now using it instead of my old account) and been making levels since not long after I started playing (back in 1.28 v2 I believe it was called).

Thanks for the praise though - have an update shot as my thanks

As I said I wanted to try throwing in a bit of everything into this map I'm thinking I'll build up the cliffs in the top right a lot and work in a sort of village up in some snow. It's just a matter of working it out right in my head first... perhaps I should draft up a bit of a map. As far as the left/bottom left is concerned I was thinking I'd throw in a sort of peninsula with an island off the tip of it, though I've no ideas on its contents yet.

You're OneStonedKittah right?

Also, in my opinion, you have quite a bit of errors in your screenshot. The cliffing can be done with a different style, and would give the diagnol parts of the cliff a more fluid motion.

I also seen some tile errors (the majority of which were pointed out by Crono).

You're making some good progress, continue and show us your progress.

Old account is 'Pooka' - I searched for threads I'd started and saw some 4 year-old levels and lolled, I was such a n00b sometimes

I'd be interesting to see an example so I can understand what you mean. The cliffs are a bit of a departure from my usual in that I'm going in sets of two if you can see what I mean. It does make them look somewhat more diagonal, but it means I don't have tile errors along the lines of what Crono pointed out (with the clifftop tiles not matching on one side, yet if it's changed to an alternative tile it doesn't match on the other side, with the solution being to use both in sets of two).

I've actually gone back and redone the double-level cliff joinings with the more correct tiles. I usually don't as I feel it makes it look a bit odd and (as I recall, though i could be mistaken) makes some cliff joins look odd, though I think I may have grown to actually like the look.

Anyway, update for the map with the sort of peninsula bit jutting out as a pointer for where I'm planning to dump a small island
