The dragon is temporary. Baddies won't be done the traditional way anyways, its gonna be random battles with turn based kinda pokemon style (only game i could think of that has that kinda style). It might be used for that, but I doubt it. I just made that dragon a long time ago.

And wtf inferno. That gui is in no way ANYTHING like Maloria's. o_o

And I'm not the best LAT, so thats why those levels aren't those great. Well at least I can understand why you think they are bad, since you are a classic style lat, and those levels aren't...well classic style.

I keep posting that I need LAT's but so far barely anyone has tried out, and the ones that have suck. =(

I had one guy that was going to, who is really good, but he couldn't remember his password. I haven't talked to him since.

who would want to?
im not trying to attack you but nothing is said about this server except that they are going to have 4 classes and its in a FFX style world with turn based battles, you need substance, more for people to work with and get a general idea about what its like, because beleive me, not many people jump on anything that has RPG written on it, and with the quality of RPG style games graal seems to put out, thats not really supprising.

Uh, well this is what is on the about page on uprisings website:

Basic Premise:
Unique to Graal, Uprising will be set in two very different time periods, the 1600's and 2200's. Bringing the best best of both worlds, or rather times, to one single server. With elements of many other server styles all in one package, Uprising will surely bring one of the best playing experiences of Graal's history. Although the future world won't be worked on for some time, the past world is being developed constantly. The worlds will work much like a light and dark world. The past will be that of a better time. Based more on ridding the world of the evil of other creatures, rather than others, it will be a more well rounded world, and a great place for new players to start, and old players to improve their charachters and just plain have fun. The future will be a time of corruption, turmoil, and constant violence and dispute. Being the more player killing oriented world, fans of both genres of modern/futuristic and role playing will find a nice blend in this world. The non-stop action of this burtal world will entertain for hours on end.

Storyline:
But of course not all this can last. An evil sect of extremists plan to find Pandoras box and unleash the fabled creatures inside. They beleive the only way to purify this world is to destroy human kind. They have an immense power, and their whereabouts are unknown. They make surprise attacks from nowhere, and then creep back into the shadows. You must stop the uprising of pure evil, before it's too late.

Gameplay:
Also unique to Graal is it's gameplay. A unique mix of turn-based and real time, Uprising will change the way you play the game. Monsters being turn-based, and pking/sparring being either, Uprising will prove to have a wide variety of things to do. Uprising also brings community to a new level, integrating the Uprising website with the server. At any time you can look up a players stats, check if they are online, etc. You will even be able to check what items a player has and interact in trades, and buy and sell items all via the website.

ryu_no_bishie is an unknown quantity at this point
seems pretty boaring and soo soo to me, you barely touch on how these worlds interact, or the story line other than some sort of evil, and seem to emphisize leveling and beating monsters and getting money and trading items. its all been done before.

Well the plan is that, in the storyline, it becomes apparent that theres some sort of interaction between these two time periods that this evil sect has found, and you have to do a few story-based quests to unlock a portal. From then on it's just kill kill kill until you get far into the base of the sect, then of course you have to destroy its leader and put an end to it. Generic kind of story I know. =(

Most weapons will have "slots". Where you can put enchanted items such as rubies and emeralds which can add effects or power to your weapon. They are all element based (not literal scientific elements of course) based on the old alchemy elements. Earth, Air, Fire, Water. The more based you are on a certain element, the more these enchanted items will effect your weapons. It is in effect, alchemy.

We are always trying to come up with new idea's, so if anyone has any that'd be great. =P

Sounds more like a single-player game than a MMORPG.

well all i can think of is metroid and Resident evil, while they have very single minded and linear game styles (albiet in my opinion much more exciting ones than the over used one you chose) they added alot of reaserching and reading that gave players a borader sense of the world rather than the mindless blood and killing, diablo 1 and 2 did this to some extent as well but it was basicaly a dungeon crawler. that said you could easily write up a storm and try to attach the player through story.

not knowing much about your game and the way sequences present themselves thats about the best i can come up with

That was our goal. To make it a bit more in depth than the average graal server.

And yeah, it's more story based, but the MMORPG style will still be there, as the quests will be able to be done in parties with other players (as well as npc partners you can buy and train). By no means will the storyline and main quests be forced on you. Yes you'll have to go through some main quests to get to the other world, but beyond that its your choice.

I was also thinking that as far as parties go, there would be a party leader, and every player is joined to that party leader, and become invisible and basically the party leader is the one moving the party around. There would would be a chat window of course so the party can communicate.

What do you guys think of this idea?

it would be cooler if your party fallowed you around, also, add in a feature to pass "leader" status to another party member, it will probably come in handy

I was thinking of that too. And I'll keep your suggestion in mind. =)

We are still in dire need of LAT's, and we are continually working on the tileset. =)
