Pen or Regular mouse

Do you use a mouse or a mouse pen when you are making graphics, I've tried using a mouse and its no good. (I think so at least)

Is a mouse pen worth the money I pay for it. I would really be a happy penguin if you would tell me this.

mouse, id like apen much better but they cost a lot for even tiny tablets plus i have an optic mouse which makes drawing ver smooth

I got an optical mouse now and it works good, guess skill is theonly thing missing now :P

In my opinion, a mouse is better for pixel graphics and like wallpaper type stuff, but if you're doing like large character sketches or something on the computer, a graphics tablet might be better.

very ture, the mouse (even my optical one) gets stuck when trying to draw freehand and often makes very strait corners o_o

It's no good if you don't zoom in on the image so you can see the pixels more clearly.

I use a mouse for making my graphics, however, I do have a graphic tablet (the pen mouse thingo) which I hardly use anymore, I find that working with the mouse is much easier than the pen.

I'd suggest using the mouse for Graal graphics more-so aimed towards sprites. Doing anything like a scene or a larger character for example on a 400x500 canvas I would use the tablet (pen) to do the outlines, use the mouse to tidy up the lines to 1 pixel or whatever then depending on the effect you are going for (Painted or pixelled) use the mouse or the pen accordingly.

Mouse for dithering etc (Pixel looking graphics)
Pen for more painted looking graphics. =]
