Unfortunately, people who are talented need a piece of paper to prove it - one which says they've graduated from a school with a specific program and are capable of what they say they are.

Otherwise I wouldn't be in Graphics Design!

GFX school? I took DT Graphics for 2 years in school and it.. erm.. Did not do anything for me.. At all.. So I'm self taught? I don't know what I am. I guess raw talent is better than educated any day, because he with talent can be tought, but he who is tought is not necassarily talented.. Leet.

I've taught myself almost everything I know. As Zero said, that doesn't mean much when I'm trying to get a job. The business would want a diploma or certificate as proof that you are capable and well taught.

Im doing a GFX School for 5 years, after that im going to study multimedia design for another 3 years, having an education like this gets you more money, you know :P?

Redwizard you purely rock, i love your trees, the general tree designs are ace instead of being left as bare trees they all have character.

Also, im doing Multimedia next year :P Already done an art and design course, passed :P Only did DT for high school part, passed that. But we never did graphics D: no fair.
