RoW's---What's the deal?!?

What is the deal with RoWs. Have they stopped spawning in shops or not? The price of RoWs is inflating like crazy, and people are hoarding them for that reason thus making them just inflate even more. Bjorn? Sam? Anyone want to confirm whether or not we'll ever see another "RoW IN HIRATHIA" mass?

Usually the "RoW in Tanarthia" masses are jokes. Maybe you just have less pranksters online these days.

I actually don't like the fact that spawn rates are so low for those and their counterparts. (Elronds) Especially since the people who have them seem to be going out for good, and there are no new ones spawning.

The inflation is surely, next to the lack of innovations, one of the bigger problems of gk.
650 Dias for a Ring that costs about 10k in Shops - who the heck needs all these diamonds?

I think they should be added in Eventcoin Shops for 30 EC or whatever, so that people can save up for them in events, same with RoE.
Furthermore, the system should be changed that people even still can become stronger, and still get monsters and people to fight, but shouldnt be able to annoy lower level players.

I've urged for a lot of over-inflated items to be put in the EC shop for a while now, but so far, to no avail. It would certainly fix the problem, though, as each time an event-only item dissapears, the price on it goes up. If items like FIDs, Infernos / Inferno Daggers, Inferno Daggers, Talefung, Immortal Frost, etc, etc. were put in the shop, it might make the prices on them jump, but it will also give them a set value too. Not only that, they will still be hard to earn, as they'd take ECs to make. In the time it takes for a rare item to be evented off, you could save up the amount of coins equivalent to the value of the item itself.

Yeah, and i dont think no event should give a reason to give a weapon out that has a worth of 350 dias few days later, thats just kinda insane.

Better would be much more items in EC store.

That the event shop needs is NPCs with scrolling menus of what to make, rather than making a lot of NPCs for small sets of items.

Well, isn't that the point of good, rare items? Those items are good, should be kept rare. That also helps economy.

Except RoW and RoE are too good and too rare. They're inflation is getting ridiculous and they're being hoarded for that very reason. It's creating a major bougeoius economy with the haves and the have nots. People with 1,000 hours who have never seen an RoW grace their inventory, and people with 1,100 hours who have 6. The item is too essential to a character raising to the level of effective fighting for it to be completely unnattainable without sacrificing every item in your inventory. USD will very soon be the only method in which to get an RoW.

RoW's are mearly going back to thier old value. A few years ago nobody had RoW's there was just a couple floating round the game from stores, but then ALOT were spawned by some high up people and sold to the players probably 100 or more, this caused the price to go wayy down and ever since then RoW's have slowly been going back to thier old value as people move on and quit this of course is a good thing.

Nobody has answered the original question though of whether or not RoWs have had their spawn rate tampered with.

One question for oldbies: did the massive wealth that people had after tradetable bugs lead to the spawn of many rows? :O

I'm not sure. I know that corrupt staff members helped in kicking-off the inflation rise by spawning items for their friends.

30 * 20 = 600 Diamonds

Buying the EC's @ 20 diamonds each.. so theirs no DIFF because every1 buys their EC's..

And bracers are like 50 ec's each :o

In the time that it would take to buy up 30 EC's you would surely win a few, which would set back the price a bit. So if you win only 5 of your EC's and bought the other 25, thats an RoW for 500 diamonds. Sounds about right to me.

Since event items usually sell for less than the number of event coins required * 20 dias, 30 ECs would be a pretty good was to have an "EC value" equal to 500 dias.

Anyway, I won my last one

If a player wants to buy an event item, they should participate in events.

It's possible, for sure.

Though, what kind of items would like to be seen?

I know for a fact, there's a lot of items on Kingdoms which I've never heard of or seen before, but it has never been created on the world.

I'm unsure of whether or not I should set EC values based on statistics or based on rarity. I know that some people get touchy about the current rarity of the item, but that fluctuates anyway.

base it on stats...i hate how all of graal bases itself around rareity...whats the point in having a rare item when it's stats suck?

Example:

Blood Rings, worth whatever the person wants to sell them for...which could be a hell of alot...but Ring of War's are better then Blood Rings...so whats the point in them being so rare? -_-

or:

Wizzys, all the wizzys add the same exact stats, but because of the color of the wizzy being rare it can jump up 100's of dias...which is just stupid...

I've taken the Blood set out of my list because of overpowered-ness, just like the Bonecrusher, Midnight Robes, etc. Same goes for illegal stuff that's been listed on several GK help sites.

myth-simba is an unknown quantity at this point
thing is..

lot of craftable stuff is bad. we should get some decent weapons that give players the ability to spar each other and fight and such and the really good geaer like rows and stuff be that just a little bit better.
rare items and uniques should not have a great advantage over all. because that gives the player an advantage overall.
Anjd trust me. i've seen it before it makes rpg games go downhill.
look at runescape, i don't like that game much, but you get loads of people there, why? everyone has a change to fight each other., plus a vast assortment in items. and graal had better gfx than runescape!
Fair enough these new craftable items don't need to be amazingly strong but at least let them give players the ability to hurt each other just a bit?
in real time medevil wars no armour was invunrable to sword hits or arrows.
even for fantasy rpg's still stick to the slight realism xD improve craftable gear please just a little, give everyone a chance in the battlefields.

For too long it's been only RoWs that made things happen on GK.

Bug the Events team to create a few if you really want the prices and rarity to come down. But I can about bet you that you wont get one.

The RoW really is too powerful for its own good and should be very rare. The Same really goes for Rings of Elrond, but these are allready rare.

Did you know that some games let you wear up to 4 rings?

That's all well and good until you read the whole point of the thread. We're pretty sure RoW's are no longer spawning, therefore no matter how long you sit in a magic shop, they're not going to show up.

Its actually from Dungeon Seige that Microsoft created, could have 4 rings on your character. But every item was randomly generated each time you killed a monster or bought them.

No item was the exact same as the next. Though it was possible to find the same basic item, the different would be very small and usually not noticeable.
