Bomy remake

Well... It was originally intended for my 2k1 revision but I'm not sure it will continue unless Stefan allows it.

Anyway, I was planning to redo a lot of the bomies to fit the new angle/style.

If you can't tell, my new design is the top row, while the old is on the bottom.

That's a really nice improvement, one thing i LOVE is when someone updates old graphics, i like doing it aswell :P

Other than the facial expression of the Down direction, I think these are awesome. But the Down one looks really, you know, down.

I would have to say - that seems entirely like interpretation. Looks perfectly fine to me.

you really shouldn't be able to see his other eye on the side view...
unless it's not a side view but the bomy moving at a slight diagonal
thats where its facing, i'd assume thats where its walking

It just looks better at a slight diagonal. Because if it's totally sideways then you should only see one foot, and it really looks dumb with only one foot showing. The old ones didn't make any sense because you saw two feet and only one eye. I fixed it.

It's not like that angle hasn't been done in sidescrolling games or rpgs before. =P

I agree, it does look wonky with that view.

I think you could make an easy fix by changing the direction the feet move in. Instead of having them move slightly diagonal just make them move as the user would expect

Graal isn't a sidescroller though... it never has been. =P The angle difference really isn't that great, and when the bomy is moving left or right you wouldn't really think it should be walking diagonally.

Yeah, but it is still clearly the wrong angle.

Anyhow that is one huge improvement. The "old" bomies are looking so *thinks* yuck?
