RC Graphics not changable? & screen shots come up white

I just spent some time customizing the RC gui only to find out when I overwrite the files in the gui folder and restart the RC client the same old images show up... I've tried the following directories with the new images and the same thing happens.
*Program Files\Graal\levels3d\gui
*Program Files\Graal\levels3d\gui\rc
*Program Files\Graal\

I've even tried to edit the control2config.txt from:
background=rc_graalonline2.jpg
to
background=*Program Files\Graal\levels3d\gui\rc_graalonline2.jpg
and that just makes the RC lock up after you login the server (PW).

is there a workaround this or is RC2 graphics uneditable?

Another issue I've had for the longest time is when taking screen shots (alt + 1, alt + 2) they come up blank... don't know why! but the only time it worked was in Graal v3.

try simply
background=levels3d\gui\rc_graalonline2.jpg
it should be already using directories under the main Graal directory. The reason why it's not loading is probably because it can't find the images.

I always changed the buttens and stuff of my RC
Delphi is cool
I did it with PE Explorer
