I live in Norway. I doubt I will take a flight to the USA because of a meeting which will last 4 hours, and nobody would probably understand a word of what I was saying anyways. Have it in sweden, maybe I will come. I don't think there are any other Norwegian forum users..

Hasn't anyone ever heard of NetMeeting or Ventrillo?

NetMeeting or Ventrillo > Paying money to fly somewhere for 1 meeting that nobody has any idea of what its about.

There were several player meetings in Germany (organized by Atlantis players). There are american and canadian towns with more than 100 active Graal players, so I guess it's mainly about finding someone who is willing to organize it. First you need to find a good place for the meeting, the meeting should be 2-3 days so the travelling makes sense. You need to organize food, beer, cola, music, organize events etc. May be ask Nitribit ?

Yeah but that's Germany. It's not as big as America is. Now I wouldn't mind going to another state within a short radius... maybe as north as Tennessee, west as Alabama, South as Florida, and east as South Carolina... basicly my neighboring states. (Which is about the size of Germany)

But going half way around the country/world is just crazy.

And about that over 100 active players in a single city... That's probably over in California or up north. Too far for me to go

Washington DC or somewhere near there would be a central location, at least for the east coast players. Since there are alot of 14 year old graal players, myself included, in American, you wouldn't expect a large turnout among kids. The convention for graal would be fairly small, probably, unless someone organizes one that goes to major cities...i.e. Washington DC, New York City, Ft. Lauderdale, so on.

It's frustrating to hear everyone suggesting the location they live in. I'd actually like to organize a convention but it's impossible with all these random remote locations being tossed at me.

Not really, I suggested England when I live in Sweden

And since a lack of interest, I dont think we'll arrange a meeting after all....We had a place that we could rent, and food and stuff wouldnt have been a problem...

I know quite a few player who are from England and there seems to be more popping up in Scotland now, it used to seem like it was only me and Aki from up here.

I've heard of people doing meetings for other games and its always gone well, its a good idea if its done right

Graal needs to have rewards for recruiting new players. Like each person you bring to the game and who buys a game you get 10% of their gold time (not taken away from them of course) or something like that. I think that it would spur the population even more.

I'm from England, and I know of a decentish number of people from the UK who play. I'm actually thinking of meeting up with another player at the next Insomnia LAN after the new year, so if others are going to that then may be able to organize stuff.

I was thinking! And that is something new all by itself, lemme tell you.

Graal's people are from everywhere, we have people in America, England, Germany, right? I don't know how this convention would work, but I have a neat little idea that might be interesting. Remember that I just thought of this, and that I have not really considered the ups and downs yet.

Why not have a huge convention on Graal? Not like, everyone meeting in N-Pulse, or Graal Kingdoms, something different.

Maybe a temporary server that pops up, like "Graal Convention"? It would be fairly small, a few levels, like a convention center, and some quality NPC settings; People could spar each other and set their sword power/hearts and what not. So two friends could fight each other with three hearts max and two swordpower, or someone very good at sparring could take a small handicap if they wanted to.

This server would not have a real goal, or quests, but maybe it would be up for a few hours or a day, and people could chat, spar and such.

Since people are scattered in graal; 50 People on Kingdoms, 50 on N-Pulse, 100 on Unholy Nation, this server convention could bring them all together for a little while?

I don't know, I just thought that would be interesting if an actual real-life convention would not work. It might be a bit chaotic, but it might be very fun, too.

Ah well, theres my two cents, I suppose.
