leveling up idea

ok here is my idea how about this if your at level 2 and you die you lose your exp. But you cant go down to level 1 again. So each time you go up a level it stays at that level untill you go to the next one. samething with other stat points.

Actually that's a pretty good idea. The only abuse that could happen is people who search for items yet still want to be good. Other than that, that's a good idea.

thanks i hope they do it that way you sometimes lose stats but you cant lose it all. I think more will play that way because you want to fell like you have done something. When you lose stats you fell like you dident do anything and it was a wast of time.

Yes, I think that your experience should go down when you die, but your level should stay the same. Maybe it would be neat if it were something similar to this:

level 2: 2000 experience from level 1
when you get to level 2, the experience would go to 0, and then you'd need 2000 again (which is 4000 total)
level 3: 4000 experience from level 2
etc.

if you die, the experience could go negative, but you'd still have your same level -- so basically, you'd have to wait a lot longer to get the new level, but you won't have to feel as if you've lost everything

maby not negitive but down to 0 thats sort of what i was thinking i hope they do this....
im so damn sick of 1 time laging and then i get killed because i couldent do anything and i lose everything. If they did this i would play graal 2002. I was playing to day but i got killed and lost everything. so If they dont do this leveling up idea that we all like and is fair im never playing 2002 again. Unless to pm someone who does not have aim .

That would be really good but people would have no fear of dieing and it would be far too easy. It would also take some of the RP factor away.

Your not suppouse to run out and PK people thats what duels are for and 99% of people who play graal 2k2 are on peaceful mode.

this is a really old thread, but the idea given here is used on everquest.



you die, but instead of losing the EXP you currently have, you get EXP debt.


so if you had to get 5000 EXP for a level, and you died, you would need 5000 plus (depending on the level X10 or so?) EXP extra you will need to earn for it.
