There is a problem with that. Judging someone whether or not they are IC or just PK'ing is very subjective. What if someone is playing a murderer or a bandit and decides to slay a few people? Does that count as PK'ing?

Graal 2002 will have a totally role-playing environment, so it will make it harder to PK people and it will be much easier to be in character (IC).

Actually I first paid for this gave on May 2001, and I rather play classic, because I hate g2k1, many others prefer classic over g2k1. Usually the admins who came from classic lasted longer then the ones who came from g2k1.

Think about that for a second. When did the drastic increase in playercount occur? May 1st, 2002. Why? Because the freeloading people from CLASSIC finally paid up! So who helps them make more money (or from going bankrupt)?

*sigh* Both Graal Classic and Graal 2001 have their flaws and strengths and people from both places should not consider the other people on the other server inferior because they play that server as Classic and 2001 are just about even with their good points. Graal 2001 has excellent levels, yes, but they also have level makers who start project after project without finishing them, leaving a lot of unfinished places. Graal 2001 is even with Classic in terms of Staff Intellegence/"Corruptness", both have their good ones, bad ones, and power abusers. Graal Classic has their ass load of quests while 2001 only has a few and some dungeons, which were a very good addition, thanks to Stefan.

I've seen too many people from 2001 however, either thinking their former status there would promise them a job on Classic, or talking badly about Classic on points that are 6 months to a year old. Classic has evolved from what it was like 2001 is doing.
Classic was a server with poor levels and poor people and has evovled with better levels; better quests; better people. Let's go back to what 2001 was a few months ago, a poorly run server, period. The only thing 2001 had was the economy, and even that was shot to hell by hats and such. The rich were extremely rich, the poor were extremely poor, and hats were everything. Stupidity reigned then with idiotic scammers that used fairly stupid means of getting money, constant acusations about staff members, and frequent *****ing at the marketplace. It has evolved from that, it now has hats lifted off it's main economy, fun new dungeons, and a better RP environment. Please, if you want to complain about something, get updated on what you are complaining about, Trueheat.

My main point is that we need to get along, Classic players are no better than 2001 players, and vice versa. An 'oldbie' is no better than a 'newbie', it's all on how they act.

I don't think I have ever seen anyone straight from G2K1 that is as tolerant as some of us. So I don't think the getting along idea is going to happen anytime soon.

Yeah, but I have seen SOME tolerant people from 2001 come to Classic. Alkaren plays Classic frequently and he is tolerable, doesn't act better than everyone. Lyndzey is mainly from 2001, she does alright, hell, even Brad played Classic a couple months ago for like a month and acted like a normal Classic player for that time.

I played classic several months before I upgraded.

And yes, classic is not as laggy as people claim.

Sometimes I lag badly, other times I don't *shrugs* same as on 2001. I like both servers, and like DC said, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Neither is better then the other, nor does playing one make you any better then someone who plays the other.

No, no, I said "prior Classic freeloaders" since a lot of them are paying now, and I respect that. I was referring more to the people who upgraded prior to May 1, the ones who in the past were the major moneymakers for unixmad and Stefan.

While I certainly appreciate your spirit in defending your chosen servers, might I point out that we are still one Graal? It's like the rivalry between the Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force...they all hate each other, but they're all on the same team...but I digress.
In regards to the people who upgraded before the deadline getting more rights - see also campaign finance reform. I'd just as soon see staff and power based on talent and dedication rather than the depth of one's pocketbook. In regards to the statement that one lags more than the other - I've found that all new worlds, G2K2 included, lag like crazy - until you finish downloading the graphics. Naturally, the Classic denizens only download a couple new graphics per session, and so have practically no lag, whereas the G2K1 denizens take an awfully long time to download everything on Classic, and vice versa. There is also caching, which takes about ten seconds in which I can hardly move, even offline - then all the sounds are in memory and it smooths out.
In regards to levels, as Classic's LAT I believe I am uniquely qualified to pass judgement. G2K1 has beautiful levels, and some wonderful NPCs. Naturally, they've had newer features longer, and their own graphics team (or rather, unique access to THE graphics team), so it is to be expected. Classic's levels, in all fairness, still look like they were all written out on seperate sheets of paper and stapled together...we're still missing that L shaped land mass at the Destiny Desert, Zorro's House probably STILL doesn't line up correctly, etc...however, Classic has the start of what may be a promising quest. G2K1 has a bunch of oldschool Classic quests - get bored, walk into a dungeon, die several times (restarting frequently so you don't get knocked all the way to the start), and come out with a more powerful weapon/shield/more hearts, but there's no common thread to it, no greater reason for your actions.
If G2K1 got a dedicated LAT Chief - BirdBird's great, but he's too stretched out between 3 worlds - who started threading it together, you'd have the best of both worlds - great graphics, NPCServer smoothness, and a plot. Then I'd really have to worry, as Classic would be G2K1 Junior...I still have to make all my own graphics over here. ^_^
