gang alliances

there's an option in the gang menu for alliances. from what I remember, they never worked. if they do work, they should be removed.

having alliances between gangs is the most retarded concept ever. we have 4 gangs on Era. if 2 of them ally, the other 2 are pretty much forced to ally with each other or else they will be overpowered by the 2 gangs that are allied.

and what if 3 gangs ally with each other to overpower 1 gang? yeah.. stupid.

yesterday LC was being raided by all 3 gangs and I was told that they were allied. I didn't think the alliance system worked and I never really saw if they were able to shoot each other or not, but I just wanted to make this thread to clarify.

if you do want to keep the alliance system, at least only make it so you can only have 1 ally, but I still think alliances pretty much just defeat the purpose of rival gangs and should be removed from the gang system.

The alliances system has been there ever since the GUI was created...I'm pretty sure it's disabled, and has been for a while.

I know.. I was staff when Vulcan scripted it and I remember pointing out the alliance option and I told him to just leave it because I didn't want gangs allying with each other.

I wasn't sure if someone else since then actually made it work, which is why I made this thread.

Ya, the alliance option doesn't function and even if the gangs were teaming against LC they should have been hitting each other as well during like cross fire.

I'll make sure it's disabled. If it's not, then I'll be sure to disable it and speak with Daz, but I think he'd agree here.
