Silence's theme. (Poll)

First, HI !

So, I just made this thread to know what kind of server you people would like to play.
Actually, I'm stuck with 2 ideas, and such the 2nd idea came from Jamie, but still I really don't know which way to go !

Current server: RPG/Fantasy theme
-a main gmap composed of many islands
-quests
-dungeons
-lvling
-baddies and such !
-Custom HP/MP GUI !
-Jobs : Mining/Crafting, Fishing/Cooking (including potions making)
-Kingdoms/Empire systems

Jamie's idea: Pirate themed server-
Epic Boat Battles~ Sink NPC/Player ships or grapple and fight the members on board at sword combat.
Blockade island to take control and build up your flags empire.
Crew and Flag system enabling players to join together in massive battles.
Money is earnt through pillaging the seas from NPC and Player ships!
Two Gmaps, one for land and one for sea. Sail to other islands and buy/sell merchandise at ports.
Collect materials either from hunting monsters on land or by defeating enemies on sea.
No leveling system, but includes a Rank system (Ranging from Jobbing Pirate to Captain in Crews, then from Royalty to King of a flag!).
Default GUI, Q Menu and HP System, but with custom weapons, ranging from a single wooden sword, to dual cleavers and even the legendary Great Sword.

Choose, because both ideas are fine, tho RPG/Fantasy idea would be what I would choose but Graal doesn't have such a pirate themed server !

Through experience, I've learned that the same second a server is considering changing theme, it's either a failed project or will be in development for at least another 3 years.

Actually for the pirate themed server,Jamie got a very nice team of workers.
Actually, if we're going with the pirate themed server we would just cut the gmap into many islands, and take existing levels, just need a few systems and we can go.

Well Jamie just want the default GUI
We're gonna have to stick with only one...except if I can convince him to add baddies and custom HP/MP + custom sword systems.

I am all for pirates, I loved pirates on Maple Story and just as long as there are different ranks for pirate starting low then eventually going to overlord or captain I am fine.

Even though all your work will be kinda.. lost :s I prefer pirate themed. seems original to Graal.

To be quite honest, you should ask yourself the same question and then make a decision. Silence's current idea was conceived by you. Do you really want to throw away all your plans because we say so? It's your idea, your server and, until now, you've been hard at work on it.

I'm not throwing anything, we'd just make different gmaps containing 1 and only islands, and of course I'm gonna take existing levels, everything in the world will be the same, even the baddies, forest and many others will stay.

The main activity on Silence would just be changed to sailing, etc...

Don't worry, I'd even take swords I made (just need to resize some)

There will even be potions ! So, there will still be some RPG and common things.

I'm not starting from scratch

Whee. You know, barely any of Silence is going to change. O_O Because not that much of it has been developed since it's been changed so many times by certain staff coming and going. I've been with Silence since the very beginning (Which was quite a few years ago) and I've seen it grow and I've seen it shrink again.

I'm just looking for a way to finally develop Silence, and I think this is it. I've already implemented most of my stuff, and it's turning out really well. I'm just waiting for the scripters to finish their bit, me to finish my bit and we're all ready for players. o_o So it won't take long AT ALL. Seriously! Huzzah!

if your systems are good you won't need to change much- with the system that i am using you can pretty much transform the world into anything and you'd just need to change the images...

The pirate theme looks very interesting but you'll have to scrap most of your old work currently on your server and start again.

Actually we would take most stuffs, because there would be potions, weapons and even baddies
all we got to do is redo systems and just move some levels, an organizing maps would just take a day.

I kinda like the logo, but the pirate hat looks a lil wierd.
Maybe have like clouds and a small "flying pirateship"

Nice servername though.
