Boredom strikes again

I was bored and thought I'd make a level. Early on I was very unpleased with what I could do with the current tiles, so I did some custom stuff.

The detail is mediocre, but the layout is quite nice, I must say. The area on the left looks as though it will be purposely tucked away.

Cliff is OK, Detail is (imo) really bad. Waterfall is pretty boring, paths and the waterpath are somehow disturbing me.

Overall: OK, looks like you got a lot of insperation from Classic.

The Good

Cliffing is very nice, as I can't spot any tile errors. I love the waterfall. That custom grass tile adds a nice touch to the little cliff pond, and the deep water on this said pond has a nice shape.

The Bad

That dirt road looks generated. I'm not saying that you did it, I'm just saying it looks as bad as one. Your detail is very bland. I know you like the Classic style but there's a reason a lot of LAT's moved to stuffing their levels with details. The cliff tops are a bit boring, it's just dirt really. Could try to add something there I suppose?

I can't say im a fan of the layout of the southern bit of the level, seems so empty.

Overall Score 4/10 (OK)

So detail is bad? Well I have no idea where to start on changing that, and to be honest I dunno... I HATE the way people clutter levels and I don't think I'd be able to make a level in a way that I hate.

As for the dirt path, no it's not generated in the least. I don't have my generator handy yet, so it's all by hand.

Overall I like it, the only thing bugging me is the lack of detail on the dirt part in the upper part of the level, the one connected to the cliffs. Other than that, I like the simple style, and I find it funny you changed the path tiles to connect to water, I thought about doing this just a week ago

Because lack of detail is bad, and over detailing is bad. You gotta balance it out. I'm not saying you should fill the level full of detail, but it does need more.
