Idea for Futurists

here is good idea, make a uberfuture server in space with bomys (bomys come from space you know!) and humans have mastered intergalactic space travel, it would be all in space though, there would be

Keminar- a small planet covered in mines/factories for building with ore, you could be able to have people mine for you (for a price) or have people assemble things for you (again, for a price).

Sulinvedin- would be a planet for living, with apartments to rent,

Conerchanic- a planet with shops with weapons, food and a shipyard, were you would buy the ships here:

Capital Class (about the amount of levels of a castle, moves really slow, holds 4 fighters, houses 15 people, 8 guns, holds 30 fuel, tractor beam strong[can have multiple], 4 directional moving [like bomys], greatest shielding/armor)

Freighter Class (Equivelent of a house in level size, moves moderate, holds 5 people, holds 1 fighter , 3 guns, holds 15fuel, tractor beam strong, 4 directional moving, moderate shielding/armor)

Fighter Class (no inside, holds 2 people [one for shooting one for gunning], moves fast, holds no fighters, holds 2 guns, holds holds 5 fuel, can dock with freighter or Capital, tractor beam weak, 4 directional moving, weak shielding/armor)

Suit Class(no inside, holds 1 person, holds 1 gun and 1 hand weapon, holds 3 fuel, can dock with freighter or capital, can latch onto fighter [players cannot enter each other ship unless have vacuum suit], has very weak tractor beam, is considered 1/2 of a fighter when it comes to docking with Capitals or Freighters, weakest shielding/armor)

each of these ship Classes would be able to upgrade, like you like buy a bigger fuel tank, better guns, a stronger tractor beam, better faster and more efficient engine, a cloaker and other things of that sort.



there would also be ground fighting, but with swords (guns require too much work!) but you would be able to buy some energy weapons, and you would need a battery or a charger for them,

Battery are the worst because you have to get a new battery each time you gun is spent, so battery guns are the cheapest.

Charger guns couldnt be used as much as battery, but they could be used in 5 minutes after the emptying of a charger, and you would be able to buy more charges

antimatter gun would indefinitly, but they are very rare and expensive.

the BAES could be added to this server to keep a few people happy, and the economy would have a bit more money in it, but you would also have a larger chance of getting your money stolen.

maybe this server could even have the origin of bomys on it

I think the hardest part of this would be finding someone to script the ships well, and one person good at graphics to make the ships and a space tileset.

I would be able to make the gfx for the ships, maybe the LCD screens will show stuff like guntype, current weapon, and ships owned by player it looks at, and maybe we can make a green backpal for it

if you havent realized this yet, about 50% of the graal players like Anime and future stuff, this would be a fun escape from that green tiled world

Yes I also think that you should be able to "buy" land on planets and then you can build it up, that would be cool. And people can make their own "factions" (like militia)

how about something like Kingdoms, but instead of calling them that, they are Companies that hire pilots to work for them, and in return, they train them, give them ships, and other things like that. but you cant just start a company from scratch, you need to get money to buy the land, hire workers to build it, and hire people to inhabit it.

it would be great if we could use some original mechs or just generic mechs to start with for the future server....

no, swords are still around, a blade is a lot quieter, and a lot cheaper than a well made laser.

I think Swords would be a bit out of place, as well. I think we should have some sort of gun as the main weapon.

fine then, swords are optional, but you start the game with a crappy gun, but you can buy a sword for around 15 gralats

also for a police force you could have police or something that look like robots and patrol in a bigger/fater version of the fighter but also has 2 capital police ships that are only brought out in times of great needs like massive pirate attacks or something since they takes alot of the police force to man it.the police would also have a space station

level help would be deeply appreciated, and as for police, the will be called the Peace Maker Force, the PMF regular squadron will be a souped up Freighter with 2 suits, but instead of having regular weapons, the suits will have disabling shots, that disables week shields in 2 hits, and a few more hits will take it out. the police then board and take the members of the opposing crew prisoner, and they are taken to the PMFHQ to be detained. the PMFHQ will be a large capital star ship, with strong tractor beams and great disabling weapons, and a larger dock that most ships, but it will move much slower than a regular capital star ship and have stronger shields.

here are the companies/factions I have thought of so far for people to join:

PMF- must follow the law, must act with honor, No Piracy is allowed by its members.

Artemis Squadron- bounty hunters and other freelancers, act as inferiors to the PMF but do not have to have the honor of them, Piracy is allowed, but discouraged. Artemis Squadron will be by company

Fringe Demons- The pirates of the lands, out fitted with strongly offensive fast ships, any member of them have a bounty enacted on their head when they are confirmed members.

and Matt, you can be Supreme LAT if you make a couple of good levels

I was also thinking that maybe people can "claim" planets in remote places and build up on them. Like they have to get minerals to make houses, weapons and such. This way militias could have their own planet and they can defend it when going to war...
anyways, if your interested just ICQ me, I will help with ideas and levels, and even a storyline if you wish

yeah, squatters rights on far off planets, but to get to them you would need lots of fuel or just good flying, being able to get there without burning off all your fuel away would be a challenge, so you would have to find a fuel source or bring one to the planet, but players could do it

Yip, and the police thing was good too. They could regulate how far you could go into "space" and later on they could open up more locations in space for people to go to
