error when starting graal

I get this error every time I try to start Graal. It started happening yesterday with the new version. I've already tried to reinstall, but it didn't help.

Here's another thread about this problem that I didn't find until now: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=67662

I'm not getting the error anymore and I can log on now. I didn't do anything to fix it, so I don't know why it started working all the sudden. I wonder if it's working for that other guy now.

*EDIT

I just now clicked the load in fullscreen option, restarted Graal, and I got the error message again. So my problem seems to be with loading Graal in fullscreen.

Go to graal4config.txt in your Graal folder and change startinfullscreen=true to startinfullscreen=false. You can at least log on, but you can't use fullscreen. I'm having a bunch of issues with lighting in the game too. Candles and lamps and stuff have big blocks of light around them. The start up screen is screwed up too. It's annoying. I'll try updating directx and my drivers and stuff and see if that helps it. I don't know.

*EDIT

It'd be nice if some staff would post in here and at least say that they're aware of the problem, BTW.

Hi.

I think I can help, well, at least give the best help I can.

If there is an error with the Graal4 client, then please post this thread within the Graal 4V Bug Report forum. Of course, I'm sure a moderator can move this thread into that forum section. Other than that, please view this thread, created by Skyld, a member of the Global Scripting Team on how to report a bug. It can be found at the following link: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=62548. This is for future reference!

Though, to help with your problem. You have mentioned that you disabled fullscreen, which helped you logged on to the client, awesome.

Now, with the lighting, there could be several problems. Try updating DirectX. The latest version of DirectX can be found at the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/downloads/. (Forum Moderators: I apologize for posting an external GraalOnline link within this thread, but I find it relevant because the link is also on the GraalOnline website, http://www.graalonline.com/downloads/index.php. Check at the very bottom. Thanks!)

Another possible problem could be updating drivers for your graphic card. Please have the latest version, which GraalOnline would function best in. For additional help, view this thread, which Stefan, our Technical Director on how to update your graphic drivers. It can be found at the following link: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=61703.

I hope this helps!

Tried re-installing Graal in a new folder just to see if it works?
