I think at the time that was what was wanted, people wanted massive overworlds where 75% of the overworld was just eye candy with no real purpose. A bit silly now that I look back, 90% of the playerbase stayed in Haven all the time. In the third overworld (the one that was up at the end and was the one present in the planned rerelease thats been put on hold) was revised to fit the more appropriate size.

Exactly. That's why these "server resurrections" fail nearly 100% of the time. I can't think of a successful server resurrection off the top of my head.

On every server there are a few dynamic individuals who keep the community going. As they move on with their lives and leave the game behind, the community must reform around them and adapt. If it can't do that, it's playercount drops, and it goes somewhere else. Graal 3000 and Babylon are two excellent examples of this. You cannot replace people like Shinobi Legend, Lady Zero, or Charm; likewise you cannot replace Alexander or Kisharha. Without these major individuals the server dies. This is why no one will ever see Doomsday again: Tifa is gone. This is why there will never be another Enigma Graal: Consolamentum quit.

I remember when the whole owner tag switch came. The owners really *****ed about it.

I'm just hoping that I'd also be able to keep the money I had when it last finished. I had 28,000,000g in my bank account. Good old FAQ's who quit and have a 100g rupee dropper

But it was quite cool to be honest, the level quality was high, more so than some levels today - there were lots of different weapons and items to have, and if I remember correctly a handful of quests! Although it was basically being developed as they went along, with various issues like being able to go up one level onto a whole bunch of trees (As there was no map for ages). And I think what it opened with it basically finished with, as there weren't that many updates.

Regardless, one of my first so I enjoyed it!

Yeah, sometimes I miss the original world where no one could get to Tumantra without knowing about the rock above Connor Town.
