Question Help for complete "noob" playerworld Admin

Okay, so ...I want to be able to test and see the various capabilities of the server and the design tools.

I've got some documents and snippet examples and bookmarks for the GScript stuff...

I've downloaded all the tools and editors

And I've been pouring through the graphics editing and level editing forums here - but I'm still completely lost

Is there a document or site that outlines the appropriate steps for changing things in your server from the beginning? As a "noob" administrator I'm looking for something that answers even more basic questions than most ppl seem to ask in this forum.

Please no flames, just looking for links to documentation or steps on how to customize your own playerworld.

Thanks much for any help!

Lyrael

There is tutorials and help on each part of developing, but you should actually know how to develop before you think of buying a playerworld.

Not always, it can be a good learning experience if you're willing to pay for such.

I think you would learn more if you had your own server that you could change everything on, as opposed to having some stupid little directory on a 'friend's' server.

Yeah let's pay $100 to learn how to make a server and fail, then pay another $100 the next year once you've learned everything only to find out that you can't actually get far because none of the private playerworlds have yet to be released to classic.

Seriously, how many private servers have been released?

Yea, let's just forget to read every other post in the thread, and begin flaming without any other knowledge of the discussion.
I did read every other post but that won't stop me from posting what I want. Not only that but I'm not even flaming.
