Since so many people are complaining about extremely high prices, and people are making a killing by holding on to rare items and selling them off for actual cash, why not make this year's presents the event items that go for so much money when sold for cash? Lower the amount from the normal three, and people can just pick what they want.

In this way, people get the items they want, and the value of the items effectively goes down, thus sticking the USDers in the back.

How about new and better items instead of the same old ones that we have come to know as rare?

You will find that when everyone has these "super uber items" they won't mean anything to the player, all the people need to see is that they are avaliable and new ones are making thier way into the game.
