Era?

It's been three weeks or so since we've been updated-- I'm just wonderring what's going on.
RCs don't seem to be changing, Nothing's being said, And I haven't heard from Rick since the server whipe.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one scratching my head.

Read the server message. As i recall there will be a delay.

Quite a long delay, they could easily set up an area where people can come in and PK and have fun while they're working. It would take 30 minutes or so to set up.

What for? So people can flood RCs with "WHEN WILL ERA B BACK LOL?", "THIS SUCKS HURRY UP" etc.? After two weeks it will get really boring, so it's pretty useless.

Apparently, they had problems with scripts and ****, but it wasn't all that big. They basically want to make it better now -- Fixing things, adding/removing others.

I've been away from classic servers altogether since I left Era. I've been hanging out on Era to chat with the global playerlist in the meanwhile.

Every reset, there is always some stupid reason for it to be delayed.

For some strange reason, under every manager that has had some bull**** reason to reset, not ONE of them delayed the "process" for more than two days. If you weren't ready to upload the new server right at the time you reset, why the hell did you reset? Your inability to communicate with the players has led us (the players) to beleive that era will be no more. I've also heard globals speaking of removing Era off of the classic list, which is completely reasonable. When you take more than a week to reset a server, it is simply "Under Construction", which shouldn't be on the classic list any longer if you have no access to it other than a classic level with music. Your bull**** isn't enough to fool some of us, and it's starting to piss most of us off. Directed to Rick: If you're unable to manage the server and keep it in a state where it's accessible by players to a point past a simple level with music, why did you choose yourself as a manager? I'm sure as hell that there are probably people out there that don't have the "talent" that you have, but could manage Era better than you. Other than the simple fact that you've royally ****ed era, I can't think of any reason why your choice in managers in poor. Anyways, that's my two cents. Feel free to complain and bicker and even insult me, because I'm probably not going to even read the rest of the posts in this thread.

This wasn't so when you had Zurkiba on Era staff

How many resets has Era had already? About six? Ever solve anything with each reset? No?

Its not a matter of being "inside the circle" its a matter of keeping players informed and also doing what they want. You even said it yourself when Jenn started changing Era without players agreeing on her ideas that it was a mistake.

Edit: Also, there may be a reason for everything but sometimes reasons don't justify actions.

Yeah, in a couple years.

Nobody's going to wait that long. This is taking entirely way too long. I can't possibly imagine what the hell you guys are coding that's taking MONTHS to create. Unless you're recoding the entire server from scratch with no references, I don't see how it'd take this long.
If you want to ADD things to the server that aren't going to switch the economy around, do it while players are on. It just seems like you guys are trying to make it "perfect" and are doing a piss-poor job at doing it in a timeframe.

We had some issues on the move from Era Development to Era. Things broke, since it took longer than expected to get things working again I decided to wait a little more to work on other things.

By the way, Rick isn't Jenn, Jenn was a "newbie", she didn't know anything about Era.

P.S.: If you have any Event ideas for Era, just let me know... I kind of feel left out because I'm the only one who isn't working since the CTF event I've planned is done. (<3 Evil btw.)

I've been saying for quite awhile Era has a much higher demand
for maturity in their staff than any other playerworld. Rick, from
what i've seen (being little), seems okay.
