Windows XP Pro x64..

Microsoft is launch a new 64 bit optimized Windows XP, are there any plans for graal to be compatible, or optimized for this kind of scenario yet? I know that I am looking into the 64 bit architecture, as I build a dual Opteron system. I hear good things and bad things, most of the bad things are coming from the other companies not being compatible with the new technologies enough to be stable in the newer XP x64 (as the 32 bit apps are run in an EMULATOR mode). A graal for 64 bit users might be a good idea soon. And I still wonder about the version 3 and how it was not really used to its full extent yet.

Sounds like a good idea, but I don't plan to upgrade my computer yet. I spend enough money as it is.

Graal would only be 64-bit compatible, they wouldn't remove it's ability for 32-bit running.

Graal v4 will be faster, it should be ok even with 32 bit Compiling for 64 bit can increase the speed, but we would also need to get the good 64 bit libraries and such to be really faster, also buy new compiler licenses, which can be a lot of money.
For 64bit Linux we plan to compile a version soon though, that platform is also more stable and more used already, and compilers and libraries are 64 bit.

Yes that would be nice even for Linux, Stefan. The only request I have is that you probably should find an alternative display, as some of these downloadable linux OS do not have a good OpenGL in them. **hint hint

You need to download and install the accelerated drivers from the gfx chip producer, like on Windows. There is no real fast alternative, only on Windows you have another way of doing gfx (using DirectX).
