Look at the reference Goboom posted as well.

Yes, generally pixel are is low color, dithered works that are supposed to give the illusion of many colors when infact there was few.

What I think she stlye is, its not really pixel art, not brush art. It has this ms paint feel with gradients here and there and outline and it ties togeather. It may not be the most popular style or the best of quality. There is always room for improvement, but I do respect her style for what it is.

Indeed it does, but there are some tools which make it easyer to pixel in psp and ps. Once you get used to the programs.

I don't draw, paint, and pixel to show to people, I do it for me, and me alone. Occasionally I share my art with my good friends, but most of the time only because it comes up in a "Whatcha doing?" or "Whatcha been up to lately?" conversation.

I think that is a bit foolish, the wise thing to do would be to take everyones opinion into consiteration and make up your own mind. I can understand having such an attuitude to senceless bashing but constructive crisisim is only there to help you, not hurt you.

Well learning different styles is a good thing to do, but eventually you learn to get creative with those styles. Lets take.. Motzart for example. He once had to do some 17 varaitations on a mediody known now as twinkle twinkle little star. Through that 1 melody he make it sound different and unike. It is the styles that make the artist, but it is the way the style are used that make the art.

He did say that he liked her art, I see nothing rude about telling her how to improve, infact that is a good thing. I guess constructive crisisim is an equired taste.
