Chibi/Plushie Drawings

Let's do a contest, it will end sunday night. Let's draw our roleplay character/graalian avatars/yourself in the form of a chibi/plushie, and then we vote on who's is best. Here is my main roleplay character "Willow Rulyan" also know as emily, autumn, kassi, and hotaru. (I can never make up my mind, it's like i have ADD.

Wow, that's pretty good. It would look way better colored. In some ways, i like the style of the b&w drawing though, that is on that.

the judges have decided.. it's a tie. between rick and crono, there just both so beautiful, i can't choose.

XD, anyway. trust me, i'm male. i like sailor moon and pretty stuff. is that so wrong? why can't a male like pretty stuff but a female can? i mean were not that different, hell if i wanted to i could lose a little weight and look like a girl. but i really don't think i want to. :o

Well its not sunday night yet (its not even Sunday..), and I dont know what chibi means, but I figured I would give this a shot.

I am unhappy with my sharply contrasting dark areas but it was a relatively quick job and plus I scanned it in grayscale so I dont know if that made too much of a difference.

That is more or less head858, havent used it in a long time tho so I might have messed up on something.

This is my typical classic-style character

Chibi is an anime-style where the character has a small body, a huge head, huge eyes, and no nose.

Well I was close then. I was trying to guess based on Myukoi/Emily's pic.

I dont particularly like the eyes either, but on head858 they are pure white and I wanted to show his pupil area somehow..

I think it was pretty good, i like drawing with ink so i can color it easier.

The Japanese word chibi itself means small, runt, or child.

In anime, whenever a character is shown as smaller and super deformed (or SD, like that horrible show SD Gundam) they are referred to being the chibi version of the character.

Example:
Ginji from Get Backers

Chibi version of Ginji

I'm working on that old mermaid signature, trying to make it less.. dead. I like dead versions of dolls, usually when i make a doll/plushie it's fun to make a "dead" version. =P
Green tail.. More.. Realistic skin.. and try to make these eyes better, but the angle it's in is so ankward.

Anyway, that dude's name on the thing is backwards (the non chibi). I'm pretty sure his family name is Amano, not Ginji, so it would be the other way around...

Yes, his name is Amano Ginji. In Japan they say their last names first.

I just did a google search on tare and 'tare panda' came up. It's a Hello Kitty type of thing, and I know that it is also a 'popular' panda head on Graal..I've seen it before in the past, but I didn't know it was called tare. That chibi form of Ginji must called tare because he resembles the tare panda character. And I think tare means lazy in Japanese.
