The mighty Alliance

It seems very unfair that 3/5ths of the kingdoms are allied.

There should be rules about this, I mean if CP or Forest (inactive) Decided to start a fight it would end in moments, because there is no chance of winning against the 3 Most populated Kingdoms.

This alliance should be split, or completely broken.

I would also like to see more agressive behaviour among the kingdoms.

What do you think?

there are no rules for an alliance...
i think it is good this way.. alliances are an important part of RPing and they actually prevent some PKing...

If CP starts a war facing 3 mighty kingdoms its political dumbness...

if you want agressive behavior go to era

If we have a proper war system to prevent respawning and such (been discussed in way too many threads already :o ) - then I'd love to see some wars, enemies and such. And here, by wars, I don't mean a single battle for 2 hours. I mean wars as in planned event, leaders talking it through, setting times and dates for battles, and so on. If someone wants to do a surprise attack, then he'll tell the enemy in advance - if they aren't surprised, than that's because some cannot distinguish between IC and OOC. We're all friends OOC, no matter how we cuss each other IC - I hope you're getting my point. Till then, have the alliance in place and wait till creative diplomacy (I mean very creative) - is possible.

Yup, as satrek says, this has been gone over and over and over in loads of other threads. All i'm going to say is, for a start, you don't need wars to RP. Fighting is part of RPing, not the other way around. Secondly, i'll just say that for decent fights you, as satrek said, need a decent battle system. The system has to:
1)Make sure respawning doesn't happen
2)Nullify levels (to a certain extent)
3)Nullify EAs and such
4)Nullify *****s that say "pwnt" or similar during the fight

Just my honest opinion

I like knowing my kingdom is safe from any attack, and that we would be able to demolish any nation that was foolish enough to try.

It's a fact that works for me.

More agressive behavior? Mehh...I'd be happy to RP a war if all other kingdoms would agree to be more respectfull by not being being OOC on RP tags unless they show it in some way....whereas people already just freely use RP names and tags but don't RP.

Kingdoms should be involved in different types of alliances. Such as political, military, cultural, and economic.

What I always wanted to see was Forest (RPing as elves) play as a race/kingdom that keep to themselves and away from all others. Seeming holy, righteous, and participating very little in world-wide affairs, keeping their hands dirty from war....they watch the rest of the kingdoms constantly go to war with one another as those kingdoms (mostly fighting with equal forces, except CP being lesser [I'd get in detail why, but it'd just ramble one more...]) slowly destroy eachother, making eachother weaker while Forest is simply becoming more prosperous... Finally, when the kingdoms are so beaten up that they're practically to starting from scratch....the Forest kingdom comes and destroys everything they have and enslaves the human race. Then, the Zormite race swims up from the seas and has a war with the elves. Would this work though with the story behind what happened to the Zormites? I always forget what the story/reason was behind the dissapearance of the Zormite race (eaten by the current human zormites is my primary assumption, whether they'll admit it or not, all fingers to point to them...) :[

Making everyone equal won't do any good - maybe tone it down a bit, but IMHO there should be strong and weak characters. But that shouldn't matter, if, say... forts were added - then a weak player could attack from the inside and have a chance, while the strong ones are out there on the field. Also, forts could have chapels or magic crystals which, if charged, prevent the fort from being attacked by spells - the less strong ones could charge them in one way or another.

You'd feel lonely on any battlefield, believe me...

For those who are crying about the " Tri-Alliance", you all don't realize how much harder it is to be able to keep it with all the variables. So many things can happen with the different members of the different kingdoms. Not everyone is going to agree on the same thing all the time. Of course its easy for those on the side lines to cry "war" too bad they cannot know what a job it is to keep peace.

Get rid of Cultural and Economic; no kingdom has anything another kingdom needs, and culture also isn't possible.

I think it's fine, what you people don't consider is that two of these kingdoms may backstab the other Have you ever seen a 3 way alliance last? Hell, have you ever seen any alliance last?

It's all repeating phases ;p

"... and culture also isn't possible."

*buzzer* Wrong answer.

Culture is indeed possible, the very basis lies in the description of each kingdom.

If culture weren't possible, you wouldn't be able to distinguish each kingdom from each other.

There already exists minor bits of culture, but it will be up to each Kingdom leader to extend that to include stories, songs, history and other features that many cultures around the world have.

Well it could be.

Take for example, the Kurenai Joukai are to be known as a very polite people who have a deep sense of honor (No need to make comments about the state of things at present, not all kingdoms are at 100% of their desired descriptions). One of the leaders of another kingdom, or members, does something which insults the customs of the Empress of Kurenai Joukai. This leads to demands by the Empress to the leader of that kingdom. The leader doesn't understand the importance, so makes light of the punishment. To the Empress it is a major deal, and should have a severe punishment and is insulted by the lack of care shown by the other kingdom leader.

Silly as it might sound, many wars were held over the same reasons. Alliances could fall also due to that. If your ally should not care to learn the parts of your culture, and show respect by following some of these customs in your homeland, then what reason should you have for allying with those people.

I agree with you though, economics does not currently play a part in this game yet. There are diverse food stuffs available in shops. If somehow this was changed (and the shop didn't have all that food stuff) and it was available only in the separate kingdoms, trade could be established, and control over supplies could be issued. It'd be interesting to see what would be done with that.
