Cuz then people with money will buy RoW and Dragon Ammys and stuff and be freakishly powerful, and then the other players won't play cuz they don't want to waste money to get strong in a GAME. Rax, we all know you just want this to happen so you can be freakishly strong.

Rax, unlike you, the developers and admin people can generate items, thus, they would have an unlimited supply, and would have every item in existance to sell, thus, killing all the fun of players and throwing things out of balance. you're just a player, you can't generate items and such.

Notice how whenever Rax replies to someone he always has to put them down? Like "...no retard..."

But selling items for real money is illegal, someone asked Stefan.

As far as I know, it's not illegal. People do it in other MMORPGs and it's commonly known among most players, and the forums, that this has been done, and Stefan has taken no action against it, so as far as it seems, it's not illegal.

It isn't illegal. Just last week we (Stefan and some other people including myself) were discussing the selling of GK game items for real money.

He was even asking if maybe Graal should become like those other games (furcadia, habbo hotel, etc) that are totally free to play, but players buy weapons and items and stuff with real money. Other games have done it and been successful. I mean buying stuff on Furc is barely beneficial to the player. It's just a new character graphic with or buying "wings" for like 25 dollars a year, that don't do anything but look pretty. You'd be surprised by how many people are walking around in that game with wings and special characters they paid tons for.

Yeah, Furc's system works very well, but I'm not sure it would be as successful here. A lot of Furc's sales on items like that come under the category of gifts for others (If anyone notices, they have sales and specials before most major gift giving holidays...Christmas, Valentine's day...etc), because of the nature of the game, friendships are formed more easily. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a possibility, but it's just that Graal doesn't seem to build friendships as easily. But yeah, I'll admit I've bought the occasional portrait. ^.^; And if the Graal subscription was free other than the extra items, I might consider buying something from there to support the game (I mean, there is a reason that this is the third year I've bought for my account you know. ^.~ )

If you were able to buy things with real money for in-game .. they shouldn't be things like dragon amulets and such .. they should just, maybe, be special outfits or graphics for a sword or some such thing that wouldn't unbalance the game ..

.. some people aren't able to use real money for anything other than their yearly subscription, and for some that's even hard to get. You've got to keep them in mind ..

Anybody who buys stuff like that on furc is kind of... uh... stupid. Furc is a good idea, but for one, Furries are very scary o_o and for two, I don't think a public RP program isn't that smart. They're not that intelligent. Trust me, I've been there... for a little bit.

If they wanted to that they would have to limit it and still keep the stuff rare and expensive... That was not every rich kid could have one, just like 1 per month or even rarer than that.

Tod ya it wasn't illegal Anyway, personally, if you make it free, but pay money for some stuff, I don't think it'll work well. To many reasons, which I really don't want to say.

::waves paws in air:: Ooooh...I'm scaryyyyyy.....

Ahem...anyway..

People buy the things because they want to support a game they enjoy playing. Graal could probably have a similar system, although I'm not sure, because whereas in a game like Furc, you buy the thing, and it works no matter where you go, something on Graal would be limited to a single server thing. Personally, I think that once there's something worth seeing on the VIP accounts, like the awaited Graal 3D, they'll be the closest thing Graal can get to anything like it.

I wouldn't play graal if it became a yearly subscription.
Why make things more complicated?
Leave the current system.
Upgrading and such, is good.

Well its hard to prevent people selling each other items for real money, but it is a problem when we e.g. remove the items made with random alchemy. When you want to spend money then please upgrade your account again (it adds the time), buy VIP, upgrade accounts for people you know in real life and such :-)

Ok, need to do an announcement that from now on item selling for real money is ILLEGAL on Graal. Do it on ebay or do it with your friends but we cannot allow that when its mainly used for stealing (real) money. Accounts will be banned for that.

Would there be any way though for eBay to trace it to confirm the buyer has actually recieved what they bought.
Since they could have recieved it then sold it on again it could look as though they never got anything if a complaint is put in.

And while on the subject of eBay someone help me buy this:
