1 - No, but VIP lets you post on the forums even if you're not a gold memeber (So if someone with a Classic account didn't want to play on Gold Servers, but wanted to post on the forums, they could buy VIP since it's cheaper then Gold and be able to post).

2 - Maybe, but why would you want to use @graal.net email anyways, I heard that it's terrible...

If it is, so be it. But you cannot prove it beyond a shadow of doubt so there's no reason to galavant around yelling that its going to happen. Its almost like the boy who cried wolf. Eventually, people will stop taking you seriously.

Usually because it just starts out as a trickle, then it eventually turns into a torrent of misinformation and confusion. I'm trying to stop it before it gains that much momentum and causes a lot of trouble. I care quite a bit about Graal. I enjoy being able to create something. Its somewhat of a passion in a sense. This is why I like Graal because its easy for me to create what I want and to share my ideas visions with everyone else around me. Graal has such a wealth of untapped potential its not even funny. But all too often the majority of players are very self-centered (hey, I'm guilty too! ) and refuse to improve above status-quo.

Heck, if I could have the perfect job, this would be it! Getting to create my own world with which I can share with people is almost a dream come true. There's no limit to what I can create within what I'm capable of which slowly grows as I come to understand things better. Unfortunately, there are probably not many players who share similar ideas.

Please man, go research the history of these things. When p2p started it was stated that Classic would be ever-free. Then came ghost modes. Then came all p2p. There is no end in sight, and that is the truth.

Whatever. You are focusing on the negative only and are speculating all the doom scenarios possible.

Why should you be worried if no end is in sight? I for one do not want Graal to end.

These silly complaints about free whatever are getting old. The business world is no coming round and discovering the untapped potential of the internet so what will happen cannot be stopped or undone. I'm confused as to how anyone can think that Graal can be supported alone by banner ads and yet continue to maintain and provide the things it does now. Get it through your heads. But why should I expect this from a majority of players that are probably under 17 *edit* (and adults too that fail to grasp these concepts)?

Is there a POSITIVE SIDE? They are charging us more money for less features. They just keep adding on charges. Why don't they make a GT(Graal Tax) so that every month you have to pay 20 additional dollars?

Hell, for the amount of money this is going to cost I could afford Final Fantasy Online when it comes out.

What do you call the statement "Classic servers will always be free"? Or that "Subscribing for a gold account also allows you to create and manage guilds."? Also, the "Graal Tax" thing was just a suggestion. Everyone knows that at the moment that is not real.
I understand that it costs money to run Graal. But you are charging people who make money for you(the server managers).

I hate to say it, but there is quite a bit hypocrisy there. I don't know if I am mad or just feel sorry for you guys, or both.

Wow, what a completely stupid idea.

Gold:

Two gold servers + forums + all other servers.

VIP:

CREATE A GUILD + forums + SPECIAL ACCESS - two servers. THEY PAY A THIRD OF WHAT SOME OF US PAID.

Sounds pretty unbalanced, dontcha think?

Renting future playerworlds will cost money for the one who rents it, but we give bonus for good quality playerworlds and when people upgrade accounts they can put money on your playerworld so at the end the good playerworlds will not have to pay anything, what's the problem?
We give people the chance to get online space for their levels and things, normally you could be happy to have such an alternative.

The thing is, and most people that play classic servers share my opinion, is that classic players don't usually subscribe for accounts. They get their gold accounts once so they can play classic forever. Therefore, they have no reason to pay more money and probably won't. Thus, the cost of it all lies on the staff of UN.

So it was an accident that VIP got listed as only access to creating guilds? I guess that solves our problems then if that's the case

Of course, I don't really care because I don't take care of any guilds. I'm a part of (paused) and that's it.

No, because you give us incorrect information, that information gets spread. It has nothing to do with lies.
Renting future playerworlds will cost money for the one who rents it, but we give bonus for good quality playerworlds and when people upgrade accounts they can put money on your playerworld so at the end the good playerworlds will not have to pay anything, what's the problem?
Why do people need to pay if they provide a service that attracts new players?
We give people the chance to get online space for their levels and things, normally you could be happy to have such an alternative.
Such a possibility was announced for people with gold accounts already. Now we need to pay extra cash.
I agree very much if you say that people are overreacting, but it is not entirely their fault.

Good points Loriel. What I'd also like to point out is that you have to have registered previously for an account to get VIP. Consider this.

You must buy at least a classic upgrade. That costs $19.

Then you get a Silver account, which costs an additional $19.

Now, Gold costs 39 dollars total.

39
19
- 19
______
$1

So in other words, for another dollar you could get a gold account, unless of course you are an old member. They really should look to increasing the number of players =\. Not to mention that Gold members have to pay ANOTHER $19 dollars to get all those extra benefits. This pricing is uneven. I think that gold people should get everything automatically, until their subscription runs out. If they still want those benefits then they can upgrade to gold again or get a Silver account.

Not really. The general idea of having a gold account is to play the gold servers. VIP is mostly about being able to test things/get news earlier then everyone else.

No - They just cleared that up. Gold will still be able to create/own guilds, but now "VIP" will be able to also.

I see VIP as a large benefit to those who have only classic and not gold accounts. They can pay an additional 19 dollars to gain forums access, create guilds, as well as test new things. And they can even play gold servers one day a week! That's pretty nice.

And for Gold people; yes the benefits are a bit less, but it's 19 dollars to be able to beta test new things for a year, as well as forums for a year (if your gold account expires before the year is up, you will benefit from this). All in all it's pretty darned good; and people are finding problems with this as if their accounts are in jeopardy of losing features, which from what I read they are not.

Finally,

Will the thing where you can see the players current body and head be implemented right (for the first time!)?

with the amount of servers that people can play at, there would have to be some sort of place to specify which server to get your look/info from...

Well when the php script (I am assuming its written in php) gets the player info from the mySQL database (also assuming its mySQL) it would also check the players current server.

I don't know how the inner Graal system operates but I am sure that it stores the latest players clothes and such. I mean it does rmeber it when you sign back on.

Also, if it doesnt remember it could jsut display a gif/png saying the player is offline or not connected.
