Unixmad, please read.

First of all I would like to applaud your decision to create the council. It will indeed give more power to the people.
Now, I read what the Council's authority is, and there is one thing that I'm not so sure about.
Basically, I think that the PWA should stay around. The current PW Reviewers are fairly unbiased and can do a good job. Personally, I think that you should go about the PW Inspection team the same way you go about the Gold Server manager.

Second, I have seen some of the plans that Konidias, one of the nominees, has. It concerns having mandatory lighting effects in graal. Which would not be a bad idea if it were not for the substantial slowdown that occurs on many computers when the lighting effects are enabled.
I'm not sure if people with this point of view could enforce such a measure, but it is a concern in that for some people it would make Graal nearly unplayable.

Also, what I think would be a good idea is that the council be larger. What would be nice is a council that had people that don't play just one or two servers, but have a person from each server. Of course, they would have to have a fully upgraded account too.

Anyhow, these are just some of my thoughts on the whole affair. Again, the system has potential, but as with any system it can be improved.

I must agree I don't like the light idea. My computer lags just playing Graal normally on some servers without lights and I have a pretty decent computer and a DSL connection.

PlayerWorld inspections...a wonderful speculation:

One playerworld, preferably starting with an "I" (You'll understand)

Refuses to let the inspects into their playerworld, due to their copyrighted and hidden illegal graphics, files, and levels.

So Stefan and Unixmad go to war with the owner and start mercilessly bombing their levels with corrupted npc's that autokill players.

The owner succumbs to the inspectors, and then kicks them out before they reach the illegal materials...Stefan and Unix load their Kill-NPC's and prepare to fire again...

Bahah. Sorry, I make myself laugh sometimes.

having someone from each server would be bad.

Too many people.

The council won't work because it requires too much communication, and how are kids gonna juggle schedules to do this? They will cut corners with school etc...this will get parents involved, yet, because they will be binded by contract, things will get ugly. And because a lot of the people are under 18.

Don't know what country you live in, but here in the United States, you can be legally bound.

Yes, you are right Kamuii, you can. Its legal in all of North America. I know this because I am in milita in my town and tyou must sign a contract if you want to join that states all the legal crap and insurance, and also saying you must stay with them for 5 years. If you sign it and you quit after a year or two, you must have a good reason like family problems etc... :o

Somebody pays too much attention in Political Science classes.

Let's see... you talking about Cold-War era U.S.S.R. and their bioweapons program, or about Iraq and their Weapons of Mass Destruction? It's amazing how we never learn from our mistakes. Speaking for the U.N. of course.

Not sure how it works. Hmmm. I think in the US minors have to have parental support or something before they can be legally bound. In any case, why would Graal hire kids to do these kinds of jobs?!

EDIT Now if a minor signs an agreement like "Person gives minor X benefits if minor does X work" or whatever that's different, the minor can't be sued for breach of contract but the Person can cut off the benefits if the minor breaks the deal.... might be part of your militia deal? Dunno.

Im sorry for posting late =X
but in USA it is ilegeal for a minor (New York a Minor in the eyes of the court is 16) without parents signing also.It means they cant be sued for brench of contract since it is ilegeal for a minor to sign a legally bonding contract without parents writting they are also responsible and accountable for the actions of their kids to whitch the contract states

too many members would lead to conflict and about the lagging with light effects =/ like all games, there are system requirements and there is an option in ur "f1" menu to disable them. i move pretty fast with 'em on with my 2ghz processor and 1024mb ddr ram ^_^
