Pking Problem Idea

Here my idea on one way to settle Pking, or drop the rate of it happening:

Say if someone Pked someone else, then they would automatically receive a "criminal" sign above their head or something. Maybe a (criminal) tag that they can't remove. Then people can see which people are the ones killing others. Then, they can hunt down the "criminal" and try and kill him without receiving a tag. Maybe they get like 5 silver coins for killing the criminal or some small prize.

When the criminal is either killed, or doesn't do any killing for say 20 minutes they lose their tag and start out fresh.

Yeah, there should be bountys on criminals.

Groups of bounty hunters would start to form too.

Yeah, then even people who get killed by pkers could hire someone (a mercenary maybe) to go and get revenge on their killer. Maybe mercenary as a class or skill, they can be hired to kill people, but only people who have been classed as a criminal.

1) Porky steals Tyhm's corn - gets item Stolen Corn, gets tag Thief
2) Tyhm sets bounty on Porky
3) Terazel kills Porky, gets item Tyhm's corn
4) Terazel gives Tyhm "Tyhm's Corn", gets bounty.

Anyone who steals from a non-thief is branded a thief. Anything stolen by such a thief is tracked in a database - if they log off or die within an hour, the database makes a note to remove the stolen goods when that account returns, and places the item. Anyone returning the item gets the bounty, if any.

Laundering - if a thief uses a Stolen knickknack, is it still considered Stolen? If a thief steals my gold and makes a sword, is it Tyhm's Stolen Sword, or is it just a loss? CAN a thief use stolen goods? The simple response would be no, they have to survive for an hour unpaused and unprotected before they get the stolen goods. Maybe the thief tag is only for an hour too. *shrugs*

Maybe the theif can only sell stolen goods, but the store owner won't want them until about an hour or so after they have been stolen?

thats why us thieves always have to have this system where we let eachother hold the stolen goods that way they have no dirt on us
