!!Please help with startmessage!!

Could someone please tell me why I cant get the background or website links to work on my startmessage.rtf file????
I have tried everything, I even tried using htm or html and it will not show the background or the links.....any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I noticed when I go to some servers, the startmessage comes up as a web page.

Well, my webmaster has made a nice startmessage.rtf and it doesn't work too... But, I went to add some news and accdently deleted some codes, and it worked... not very good, but it worked.

startmessage.rtf SHOULD work with HTML code, ours does, using a coloured background and all

I got it to work now, but the links to our web page do not work, any ideas?????

Are your images local? Maybe hosting them on a seperate server and using the full adress would help. I can't really say unless i can see your .rtf file.

the rtf file is fairly simple right now, there are no images, all I have is a background color and links to the npulse website, and words....the background and the links do not work, I made it in Wordpad
