DirectX.

Could anyone tell me what version of DirectX that Graal uses? Since I got Unreal Tournament with a different version of DirectX my light effects or anything haven't been working correctly (causing tremendous lag on Graal due to the DirectX coding, it tries to process it through the DirectX and fails).

DirectDraw5, and if you have a card with support for Direct3D7,
then it uses Direct3D7

Hmm.
I'm using DirectX 8.1 and on Windows XP. About 3 weeks ago the light effects were working. Then they just stopped. Any ideas on why Stefan?

Why would it work for a few months then all of a sudden quit? Windows XP comes with DirectX 8.1 already installed. It was working fine when I first got Windows XP then all of a udden the lights just quit. Unreal Tournament installed a different DirectX but I upgraded it again. It still didn't work, then I went so far as to reformat then install XP again, and it still doesn't work. =(

So its not like anything to do with the 2k2 updates?

because since i got that, my lights get little clear spots and the transpherancy (sp) is screwy (like white transpherancy (sp again) shows up randomly)
Edit: and im still running win 98 se

I use 98SE and it's always worked for me. Most likely because of my ATI Rage 128 video card.
