Diagonal Bomb Lines

Make diagonal bomb lines, this is one of the many complains I hear about graal: "OH YEAH LETS STAND UP AND TO THE LEFT OF THE BOMB, NO MATTER HOW CLOSE WE WONT BE HURT."


you dont want graal addicts to be blown to bits by grenades if they go to war, do you?

WHy dont we just amke xplosions which really look like explosions,
i mean with diagnol it will just be an aserisk,
which looks kinda wierd

true, but making a bomb script look like that would be hard, and the graphic would be difficult also.

Bombs should blow up in a circle, not in crosses. Maybe that's something to improve on in the future

Even I know that circles are simple to represent on an x,y plane mathematically. It couldn't be too difficult to script.

Add it in the graal exe. putexplosion3 = but circular explosion.

The old ones should be kept since there is a lot of stuff that wouldn't work if the straight explosions were removed.

The trouble is graphics. There is no way to make good graphics that could be applied to different sizes of explosions.

Hardcode it and just "stretch" the graphic, which is easy to do in DirectDraw, depending on the specified radius:

putexplosion3 radius,x,y;

Somebody is forgetting about the zoom commands


although zooming is purely cosmetic.

that should be all it needs.

Yes light effects and zoom would make it easy
but then many people wouldn't see it :/

I would just replace the bomb for 2002, and have better bomb gfx that look more like a circle, with a few seconds of smoke after it explodes?

but we could always use a laggy sin/cos expanding out bomb.
