Inspiration

I'm currently commissioned for a graphics job and I need some inspiration. I need to see some amazing looking dungeons, specifically the walls. Mostly I'm interested in structure and design, for example arches, pillars and so on. Right now I'm drawing a blank, and some top favorites such as SD3 and Chrono Trigger don't really have amazing looking dungeon interiors.

Can anyone help me out? It doesn't necessarily have to be 2D, 3D is fine too if I can see the walls clearly.

the first image SCREAMS RPG maker beacause ive seen those rock walls a thousand times recycled in the RPG maker community.(he added purple) Another thing is RPG maker never uses full black either.the color used for the black is exactly the same as TONS of rpg maker "chipsets". usually people edit the RPG maker XP tiles beacause they are larger then normal RPG makers resources.

in the RPG maker community they call tileset "chipsets" and ive noticed tom has done this before when he made a wooden type indoor bedroom room tileset. one day he magically got 5x better.

either way im not against recycling GFX from rpg makers beacause they are there for people to use in their games free.

It screams it yet you've provided no proof. Since Tom is a very reputable artist, you should back your accusations up with proof before you scream plagiarism.

okay well i happen to have these chests in my image folder + type rpg maker XP chests in google images.

lets take that chest for expamle, the first thing i noticed is 3 edits, midle stripe(check link for horrizontal striped chest), verticle stripe and the lock.

A. that strike circled doesnt make sence to me light source wise. if you zoom in its acutally just the same lines copy pasted over eachother.

B. i took thel liberty of take that line away now its the exact same size as all the other chests vertically and horizontally.

C. I did a quick copy paste to increase the size of the bright spot ontop of chests and a quick copy paste to increase the size of the lock.

coincidence?

a link i on google images to a pile of nice chests. i like the purple one.

http://images.brighthub.com/cc/7/cc7...04ef_large.jpg(that purple is familliar)

this was a 5 min search and edit plus the addition of toms personal edits to make it look more unique. ive also seen the chair things before, at least the wood on RPG maker and other graal tileset.
notice how all the gfx in the image showing the level seem to have slight different styles all around.

I kinda like the idea runescape has with there interiors:

They definately have a good idea, not that I'm a fan of the game because of the multiple gameplay changes. Another good reference would be skyrim:

Especially for layout.

edit:soz images aren't working o_0 so I left you the urls

I'd say Torchlight but the dungeons in it don't really have walls.

Also check out .hack//infection if you haven't ever played it. As far as I can remember it had a lot of different randomly generated dungeons.
