Can't connect to graal...

Graal worked just fine on my old router.. It got hit by lightning because my parents failed to put it on a surge protector... We got a new router, the internet is drastically slower, and I can't connect to graal, AT ALL. I'm not sure what is up, hoping someone can help..
Thanks.

You should really call your ISP, and try and see if the problem is either the router or your actual connection.

A way to check this is to connect your computer directly to the modem.

You can measure the speed of your connection at http://www.speedtest.net They also offer a ping test as well to measure the responsiveness of your connection.

Have you tried resetting the router? Maybe even the modem?

As far as I know it's been reset a few times already.

Do you know how to get into your routers firmware settings?

Do a ping test (Google "pingtest" and click the first result) and post your results. That will tell us if there's any packet loss etc.

I'm also having the same issue. However, my router wasn't struck by lightning and replaced - the only thing that's changed is a new OS (Ubuntu).

EDIT: After the "Could not connect" error message appeared, I pressed F8 and everything seemed to be working as opposed to constantly restarting Graal, which never worked.

Does your network adapter support Linux? when I first installed Ubuntu I had to buy a new adapter because my old Netgear adapter only had support for Windows operating systems. Granted even if it doesn't fully support Linux it may still work for the browser but sucks for Graal.

Yeah, drivers for my Belkin USB adapter came with Ubuntu already installed. However, I've noticed a drop in performance with my internet so they might not be working fully, as I've experienced before when installing Ubuntu on Acer laptops.
