I'd just like to make the point that many of Era's current players have a "family." These families are just a group of friends who all use the same last name on the game (ex. Erik Atrox, Donark Atrox, Eko Atrox, etc.) Era would be alot more enjoyable if we made a family system to base competition on families competing.

Ofcourse families can be so huge, so you can have a 10-15 member limit on them, but this can introduce I knew way of pking. Perhaps this can mix Gangs and Parties into an ultimate way in which Era can enjoy. Family events can be hold on weekends to improve competition which in all keeps the playercount high and makes Era enjoyable.

This is just a basic idea, but I think it's a start bringing Era to the top again. Please post your comments positive or negative to keep the ideas rollin'!

Pros:
+This idea is definitely good enough to be implemented.

Cons:
-This idea is already implemented and it is the party system.

This idea isn't bad, but there are already many ways where families can be together when they PK (Gangs, Parties). It would really be a waste of time to add a family system. Especially when the staff team have much bigger issues to deal with.

I don't think this is really a bad idea at all.

Like, if you got less that 10 people, then you couldn't make a family. I support.

It's not really that new. Not saying it's one of those oldbie 04' families, but it's been around for a little over a year. We're definitely on par with other families like Cassini. Also we're not a family made just for a week and add any random player.

A family system would be redundant.

1. The playercount can't support more groups for players to join. Until you have a feasible playercount, you can't implement families.
2. This would reduce gang activity, which is detrimental to an already PK-dead server.
3. Being part of two affiliations (gang and family) can be messy. Say one member of a family is in Blazian Bandits and one member is in Black Holst. When Blazian Bandits raids Black Holst, what do they do when they encounter each other? Run around and tap control h? It makes everything more complicated. Raiding is raiding, that's it.

Honestly, a good thing to do with a family concept could be to make some sort of event with it...a mob event or something.

I agree with this, except the way Cassini is now. I don't like the group of Cassinis that play Era. Ever since Geo left Era Cassini has gone down.

I think that there should be like a family tag, though, you would have to pay for it. Basically this tag would be in parentheses, ( ), and it would also have the word family in it, the player should get to choose whether it be at the beginning or end.

Example: (Atrox Family) or, (Family Atrox).

Now since the player is paying for their family, then they should have to have more control, and also the ability to add more player slots for players to join.

Lets say once they buy the family they would get however many slots a party could hold. Then they could open a GUI to add more player slots so more players can join, but only for a price.

there should also be special family upgrades that you could buy, like Increase Speed of Everyone In Family for 3 minutes. or somthing like that.

Just some thoughts.

I think if they did this, it should be like a guild tag. For example: Eclipse (Cassini).

There was a time where all of the Soul Family members had a (Thieves) tag, but they were deleted about 2 days later.

I still think it would be a complete waste of time.

Yeah for the time right now it would be a huge waste of time..

But I was thinking about the guild tag being like that, but then gangs wouldnt really be the ones with the special "name-only" tags. I think gangs should still have that right, tag wise.
