Trignometry or TracheosÂ*tomy?

Jadis:

You know how trig can create something with a certain radius/angle? Well is it possible to determine the value of a radian from one point to the next? I don't know if I am explaining myself well. I have not yet taken Algebra 3 and only know basic trignometry.

if you understand Geometry you could make a pentagram quite easly. (PSst those are chords. not radians)

even with the math skill you still need to put it in your scripting..
so it takes more then just math
but I started doing some basic trigonometry in 8th grade

Kammy is right, many scripts befuzzle me because I do not understand some of the math terms in them...But I think we do some basic Trig in the 8th grade. It's like the last chapter in the book.

Kai, it's because they both really use LOGIC in their processes and stuff. People who have a good grasp on logical things do well at maths and programming. Oh, and I did trig in year 8, but only because I was doing year 9 maths then . Also, trig is annoying, and trig graphs are annoyingly easy.

Kai is probably telling it the proper way.
In my primary and high schools I was always way above the class in all subjects...maths, science, art, english, SOSE/History, Software Design...
But when I passed the test to get into one of the best schools in my state...I am now near the bottom of the class.
I am now hopeless at maths, science and history...but I can still take an idea out of my head and produce it onto Graal.
I have just started Trigenometry and I only understand half of it...Now do you see me uncapable of scripting?
If I need something really complex and mathematical...I ask people I know to show me how to do it...and if they just type out a whole script, I will just print it out and sit there with a pen, paper and calculator until I understand it.

I also don't play AFL (Australian Rules Football) and I am better than people who play it.
I don't play Cricket, but I am still better than people who play it.
I don't do athletics, but I am still a faster runner than people who do...

As Kai said, scripting is completely separate to mathematics, for in Mathematics you don't see things like 'for (i=0;i<z;i++)'...now it doesn't take a super mathematician to understand that does it?
You just need to know how to look at it, (like most commands of most scripting languages)....whenever I write something like that, I just say in my head 'i is equal to 0, everytime i is lower than z, then do this (i++)'

Sorry for the lengthy writeup, but you should see my life story of only 15 years.

Pfft. Sorry, but Kai is not completely right about this, and neither are you. As I said before, programming and mathematics are made up of LOGIC.

This pocket Oxford Dictionary that my family has defines logic as:
Logic, noun. The science of reasoning, a scheme of or treatise on it, conformity to it's laws, way one argues, arguementative ability, etc...

Maths was originally a science, as was programming.

And I'm not saying you NEED maths. I know maths, yet I have never used any of it except for simple commands, like ++ and += and so on.

Oh, and by the way, I am **** at all sports.

Haha. I get that sometimes too. Like on Monday. True, it was the first day of term, but period 5-6, when I had Computers and Maths, I couldn't think. My mind was totally blank. Not that good.

The gist of my post was telling that other guy that most of what he said is a load of crap.
