PCID changes on every restart

Yeah. Every time I restart my computer, my PCID changes. Consequently, every time I log on to Graal/RC I receive an e-mail alert. I also have to re-type my password every time.

If there's no way to fix it, I was wondering if it could be disabled because it's not of any use when it behaves this way.

More interestingly, does anyone have any idea why this happens? Short of mocking the system, that is.

You don't have computer verification turned on, at least on this account so it shouldn't alert you. I haven't run across anyone else with the problem of their pc id's changing each time they start though.

Computer id usage for account _Zelph:
Requires verifications for new computer-ids: no

I removed protection again after checking this in hopes of making it stop the spam until you can figure out why its even happening. I wonder if its the 64 bit Vista causing the problems since it seems thats the one version I hear the most complaints about regarding Graal.

I think it's still sending an e-mail if the account is used by many people, to warn the player that it might have been used by someone else.

Zelph: please send me more information by forum pm (do you use virtualization, is it a laptop or preconfigured desktop pc (manufacturer)) There were problems with some Vista PCs some years ago which forced us to change the computer id generation, I hope we can fix this.

Just thought I'd bump this thread because it has started happening again. My inbox is getting bombarded by the emails, and my PCID changes after every restart.

This time I'm on Win7 Pro 64bit. It seems to have started happening when I got a couple new video cards (Although I've also made hardware changes prior to that)
