GP Application

The GP Team is looking for some new members. If you believe you have what it takes to be part of the GP Team please read the following application, and answer the questions to the best of your abilities.

Before you get to apply you must meet ALL of these requirements, or else I will discard your application.

1) Must have a small jail/ban record, if any.
2) Cannot be staff on any other Classic, Gold, or Hosted servers. (or be willing to transfer if you make the team)
3) Must be a P2P account

Send in your applications in to [email protected]. For the subject of the e-mail put in your account name then the nick name you would want for your tag. For example, LordSquirt:Squirt GP Application.

Failure to send in an application correctly will result in your application being deleted as well.

Also, the application is due on April 25 2009.

Basic Info:
1. What is your account name, nick name, and community name (if applicable)?
2. How long have you been playing Era (include hours)?
3. State any experience with any staff position on Graal. Do not include private servers.
4. Tell me why you think you would make a good candidate for GP.
5. What time zone are you in?
6. Estimate the amount of time you would be able to be on tag each week. Be realistic.
7. How old are you?
8. Male or female?
9. Why do you want to be a member of the Era GP Team?
10. Do you think GPs have more rights then other players? Explain why you
think this way.
11. What rights do you think you will need to do your job? Please state your reasoning for each right that you list.
12. If hired, what is your goal as a member of the GP team now, and in the future? Six months from now, what do you see yourself doing as far as Era, and GP goes?

Simulation Questions:
1. How would you respond to a player who PMs you telling you that he has been scammed and that he wants you to get his items back. Tell me what you would do without access to logs and then tell me what you would do with full access to logs.
2. How would you handle a case of harassment against another player?
3. How would you handle a case of harassment against you by another player?
4. How would you respond to someone threatening to submit a support ticket to complain about your actions?
5. List some reasons for which you would jail a player.
6. List some reasons for which you would ban a player.
7. How would you handle a case in which you as a GP witnessed a scam taking place?
8. How would you handle a player telling you that he or she has been scammed by another player who abused a glitch?
9. What would you do if one of your friends was breaking the rules on Era?
10. What would you do if you saw a fellow staff member breaking the rules?
11. You have received numerous complaints that a player is 'speed hacking.' How would you prove that this player is or is not speed hacking?
12. There are reports of a staff member warping into playerhouses and taking items. What would you do to prove or disprove this (assuming you do not see it happening)?

Personal Question:
Do you believe it is more important to do your job exactly as you are told, or to use your own judgment in a situation, even if it might be bending a rule a bit? Explain using an example or two.
