Well, People say everyone is working on the New Era.. And now they just changed the Recycling-center at unstick?

I don't think this is needed, why not be creative on the new era so we can play it faster..?
(Btw, why is it made of table tiles?)

I agree, it also looks rather funky. I don't really like the new design to be honest... I don't mind the underground part, but the top is strange

I guess Etrican was hired in effort to provide Era with a developer that can do updates to the main server while other staff are working on Era Dev. I do agree though that the recycling center didn't need to be changed. The old levels were fine and certainly better than the ones Etrican made. I'm not really a big fan of his work.

I can't stand levels that are made in a dark theme, with lack of a better word (see GP headquarters for an additional example.) Black tables? Black walls? Gray carpet? It's so ugly. Not to mention the only black "walls" Era has is it's black table tiles, making the levels look a bit odd.

The size of the levels are also a bit unneeded. There's a big lobby, then you go downstairs to a big room with these 4 little recycling bins. I liked the old levels better where it was just 1 small compact room. Levels that are small and don't have huge wastes of space usually tend to appeal to me a lot more.

Etrican also has a huge problem with depth which is clearly noticeable in his recycling center.

I don't mean to be bashful but I just don't understand why people don't think before they start changing things around on Era..

Etrican has a habit of making levels that don't match the external building's size.

I think they're good-looking levels to an extent, and he used the setImgPart() function on the tiles that hasn't been used in a long, long time (so I'm hoping this is seen more often now). The thing I dislike is the setting for which he applied to a trash disposal. It looks very corporate-- not something just a recycling center would look like.

-Recycling center: I think the new levels are an improvement, I actually like them. Although I agree with hachi the theme and feel of a recycling center is missing.

-GP headquarters: I guess the inside levels are okay, but the outside looks horrible to me. It's just the same outside level that was used for the gas station that used to be there. Fix the outside level please !!!

-NeoTech: On a side note, whoever made those indoor levels for the new Neotech is a genius. Beautiful work.

those tiles were made to be used for tables (see the coin shop for an example!) don't know who's bright idea was to start using it for buildings, but this isn't the first time.

yeah, the old level had vents in the ground with steam coming out of it which although is small, added a great deal to the theme of the level. there's also more you can do. it seemed a lot more like an industrial building than a house with recycling bins in it.

Definitely not. When my house was originally made by Vincent he used those tiles, so when I redid it, I decided to keep them


Though, I definitely wouldn't use them on an outside level...

Kimmy's acually improving on her inside levels, i aint seen her outside levels recently. I gave her a few tips and it's worked, Etrican is helping on Era Dev also aswell as on era so i'm guessing he's a bit rusty on levels for being away far too long but i personally think Etrican's levels are decent when he doesen't use that dark black gray theme.

First why would someone be hired if they cant make good inside levels, That is an LAT's job. Second Etrican always uses the ****ty dark gray black tiles that look the same in every level, I think hes incapable of using any other tiles.

They realize they will get fired if they don't do something, so they go do extremely easy jobs (like changing tiles) so if a manager ask why are they so lazy, they can point to a job that took them 30 seconds and get at least a month longer to idle and do nothing before they have to do something.

On a side note, why don't we actually hire staff who will update buildings that currently support nothing, instead of updating buildings with a preexisting layout?

I like Kimmy's levels, but the outside of the recycling center isn't too great. she was probably trying to make it match the inside, so she used the black table tiles like Etrican did with the inside levels. I know she can do better. tile choice adds a lot to the overall outcome and she didn't really have much of a choice since she was matching Etrican's style.

They want it to be known that they do things on rare occasions. Sometimes Kimmy can do good levels but from the more recent things I have seen she should have never been hired as a LAT, Why would you keep her on when there are so many in the community better that would do the work?

I agree.

Level making is generally very simple, and many people can make pleasing levels that would be criticized positively. Also, I'm sure that most of those players would be far more active.

When I was Dev Admin and was looking over LAT applications, there was honestly nobody that I wanted to hire. They all were very...bad. It took me a while to pick a few that I thought could improve, but the point is, there's not a huge pool of talented LATs to choose from.
