Interesting Idea.

Okay, I dono if anyone has played Natural Selection, a half life mod, but for those who have you'll be able to understand my idea easily.

For those who haven't it's going to be somewhat difficult to explain:
So my idea is to have "commanders" for gangs.
Each gang base will have a command desk or chair in the office or meeting room of the gang base. Only high up ranks will be able to grab/use this chair. It should be a right that the leader can give to select members. Once you have grabbed this chair you will be able to scroll/look over the whole map, scrolling at 2 or 3 times the walking speed (you're character will not appear on the screen, he will remain in the command chair). Anyways think of it like a strategy game like age of empires. You will be able to scroll over the world, select units from your own gang, with the mouse, and issue commands, like Attack, regroup, defend certain areas ect... Members you issue commands to will see arrows and way points on their screen to tell them what to do. Maybe the commander should also be able to drop Ammo, Revs, heals in designated areas as well.

The only real challenge with this idea is buildings and how the commander would look inside them and how commands would be acknowledged by gang members inside buildings. I was thinking the commander would just click on doors to open them and go into the level beyond. Same with elevator switches. (probably needs more thought)

anyways, I just thought about this idea while raiding today and noticing how unorganized and chaotic it can be at times. If the commander idea was implemented I think we would see a lot more organized gang activity, and it would take fiendish tactics to a whole new level.
I know the idea isnt exactly practical because it would take so much work. I dont expect it to be implemented just thought id share it cause I thought it was a cool idea.
