Atlantis looking for skilled LATs!

Introduction

A couple of weeks ago, Niklas and I had the idea to revive Atlantis, or at least give it a try. Basic ideas are turning Atlantis into an English playerworld because of the lack of German players and changing it's direction towards a more classic feeling again. That means no rpg system and such things anymore. We are also making a fresh overworld, new quests and so on.

You like making levels and you are skilled and motivated? Maybe this is the right job for you. You should be experienced with pics1 and modifications of it, and you should know how to avoid tile errors and work with little as possible. Right now we need lots of exterior levels, so it's probably best if you are good at those, but it doesn't hurt to have somebody who prefers interiors.

• One interior level
• Two exterior levels
• A fourth level, being either interior or exterior

I will try to answer as soon as possible. And, please, don't try to send me work of other people. I will most likely find out.


Note: Our current work is non-public, so you can't see anything of it on the Atlantis playerworld. I might give more information or screenshots later.

Sorry but I really don't know about you or Atlantis staff team, but do you already work on Atlantis or not ?
Because you'r the the only person that could be manager.
But if you can hire there, then ok.

I like Atlantis tileset, vacations are fun, why not ? =)

We are reworking most of the things from scratch, and we are developing on Atlantis Debug right now. New tileset, too Waiting for your pm or e-mail

Update

We are now also looking for an experienced GAT! You should be familiar with creating tilesets and other graphics, obviously.

Any chance of this more information or screenshots thing happening? Saying it is like Atlantis except not German and with a new system and a new overworld is not exactly telling a lot. I am probably not qualified to help you out but I am interested anyway.

Well, I wanted to post more information + screenshots when we would be guaranteed to really get Atlantis. The decision hasn't been made yet, and it's slighty delayed because of zwr. After it has been made, no matter if we get Atlantis or not, I will post screenshots and information.
If we won't get it, well, we worked quite a bit to post some ideas and screens on the forums, and if we will get it, we will of course continue with our work ;f


Edit: On a second thought, I didn't release that much information in that post up there, so here goes a small chunk...

We plan to create a balanced project, the balance being between quests, events and pking/sparring. We will try to create quests in the style of Zelda, and already kinda did so, just that the current quests aren't that big yet. We want to create a balanced pk and sparring system including points, and maybe rewards (unsure yet). And we want to create fun events (also team events) to higher the long term motivation of players. There are also several other things doing that, more information will be released later.

So basically, the things said above. I know that this doesn't really scream "Atlantis", but we are trying to get some if not most of the old Atlantis "feeling" back.

So basically the relation to the previous Atlantis is just going to be that you are running on the same port?

We also want to port some important elements from Atlantis of course. Making something new and just keeping the name is a bit useless. We also want to add several stuff linking to the playerworld name, so it actually has a meaning.

No I have not written gscript in years and never properly learned gs2.

I'm fine with being the only scripter. It's just slowing down work when several scripters are working on the same thing, and there isn't sooo much to script after all
