Horrification: The Beauty of the Profile, And other cool stuff.

These ideas are not for use on your own, your dogs's, your grandmother's, etc. server. Creation of such ideas on your own server will lead to the PWA's knocking on your door to blow things up with big guns.

On Horrification, we always thought using the old Profile contained too little options, only being able to store simple data from the player. We have made it more complex, and of course, more exciting!

Let's look at all the options.

Probably the first thing on your mind (seeing as it's the first option), comments, is what's sparked your curiosity. On Horrification, you can access and view other's comments, add comments to others, and view and delete your own comments!

As an example on how to view comments (if you want to see how to give comments, go ahead, log on and try it out; this is all for your eyes for the public!) and delete them:

Hmm, Ibonic seems to have gave me a comment. I don't like that comment, It's pointless. I'll beat him with a stick later, but before that...

Bye bye, stupid comment!

Next, we have "Awards". I'm sure many of you have Xbox Live Gamertags and know about "Achievements"...and I'm sure some of you don't. Well, since you all have no idea what those are, because you blew your money on a Graal account since it's cooler then an Xbox Live Gamertag, You gain these "Awards", by doing ceartin notable things. For example, gaining 500 kills gives you an award, or placing first place on multiple puzzles! There are literally hundreds of planned awards. Awards pop up immediantly when you get them, and of course you're notified immediantly.

Now, so we don't leave you wondering what the awards are (and of course, we're not going to tell you what they are exactly, what's the fun in that?), we give you a reason to log on every day: Every day, at the start of the brand new day, there is an award "Hint" in the npcserver message (hidden at this time). This explains what the type of skill might be needed (for example, "You need to be good at PKing"), and a little description of a possibility (for example, "With this many kills, you're on your start for a legacy!")

Here's an example award. The description can be found by putting your mouse curser over the award name. These can be viewed by any player. of course, the example award isn't a real award, but like I'm going to show you a real award? please.

Next up, Ignore...I don't think I need to show anything to explain it; It speaks for itself. Ignore the player's chat! A long wanted command, now at your disposal. (An asterisk[*] appears over the marked ignore button if you are ignoring the player. The asterisk is a way to denote ignore players from not ignored players)

Next, Notify. Another thing that explaining is easier then showing you. Say you really want to know when Unixmad logs on, because we all know how much we love that guy. You simply right click unixmad when he's on, and click on Notify. That way, no more worrying! When he logs on, a message appears in the chat history log that Unixmad has logged on.

The chat history log...We had a complaint that it somewhat covered the graal screen; we've taken control of that. Take a closer look at the screenshots Chat history log; it's not on the level! It's outside of the level area, now added to graal control to fit into the game, without disrupting your game.

Profile? That's not new, actually. It's just like the old right click the player; opens up the same ol' profile we've come to love for how simply lacking it is in features.

Spar Stats...what the heck is that, you might ask? I'm sure there's a few spar freaks around here. Horrification has completely re-made Graal sparring; it's the same sparring, with a new formula to creation. This screenshot of the info it contains will definitely make players get a good idea; especially with the last two info options.

PS: I suck at sparring.

We will release it to be played while we create all the other parts of Horrification, and possibly get a message in the login server to get some people in to check this stuff out. Keep your eyes peeled for that

If you want to work here, forum PM me or contact my RC on Horrification. If you ask nicely, perhaps you could get a sneak peak around, who knows.

Oh, and of course a high-5 to my partner in crime, Jazz (oo_jazz_oo) for taking all of my ideas and putting them to life, and still dealing with the migranes he most likely gets.
