SoG is back, named Dev Xterminator, and we have Angel, the Owner of SoG helping us with everything, new gmap on the way and of course, more weapons. so come on down and play some more! bought 3 days ago by Xterminator, so that leaves 362 days left to play!

How so? I learnt most of what I know by starting projects, intended for server release. All of them were never finished but I always came out better and better.

However, revival projects are just stepping stones for publicity. There's no real thought and really it's just to piggy back on the hype of said project. Unfortunately, revival projects always end up producing negative publicity and often leave a path of angry folk claiming rights.

The government recommends your should recycle, but you shouldn't recycle useless, or mediocre as a better term, material.

The first one was fun until it went Urban. What killed it was it turning Urban/Very corrupt staff that didn't know how to do things right.

Who was the braincell who added the completely ridiculous "Free Guns" prank? Me being a newbie to your server fell for it. No real point behind it. It's not fun nor funny :P

Maybe I'm just being an angry kid because I fell for it but you know, a free gun to get you started on such a server would be cool :P

I also dislike the tileset, as stated before in the previous revival thread.

I thought that was the last one? it was fun until it was urbanized

they shoulda made more modes instead of the urban/era clone thing, I rmbr the joke that someone made up about it being Zone and Era's Kid and @Codein, what about that luger, I thought it was free, I got 40 kills with it before i bought another weapon

Statistically... barely anyone is fit to make a server. There have barely been any new classic hosted servers in the past 5 years, thus, no one has been able to prove they're fit to make a server. So I wish people would stop telling others that, especially when they haven't done it themselves, but, hypocritically only have hopes to finish their great idea like the same person they're criticizing.

People have the exact same "dollar and a dream" mentality with servers as they do with the lottery.

And good, completed servers occur at about the same rate as winning the lottery.

I'd say that the lottery is won frequently, but people don't win it frequently.

I checked about an hour or so after I posted, yea, they made a gun, yea they made a battlefield, but the thing is, you can't get out of it and it's non-pk

Actually its PK, and its a battle field, meaning you need to be killed to exit. You can't just have the ability to run in and out of the battle field randomly. Also there is a new script added that warps you to 3 different places on the field. Also you have a short No PK shield that prevents laming from happening.

Is there a problem with keeping it simple? If we let people walk in/out of the battle field then they would simply kill someone and run out to a Non PK zone or maybe even to a shop and buy a Med Kit and heal themselves. Also think about if two guys are fighting, one is about to die. What may he do? Run out of the battlefield so he doesn't die, while the other guy runs after him calling him "noob/newb, runner". A nice simple way to prevent this is to only have the 'unstick me' way to get out of the grounds. The server is based on PKing, once you enter a battleground your ready to start PKing. Not walk in the walk back out? Why are we even having this silly conversation about entering/exiting the grounds?This is the best thing you guys can talk about in your lives? While your doing your jobs/school irl your probably thinking of why we would let someone walk into the grounds but not out. Is it really that big of a deal to you? lol. Sorry for not making it so you can exit them through a 'teleport' or link it back to the OSL or anything along those lines.
