not really.. it's dungeon, as in human made.

I hate doing tiles - I won't even do them for money anymore.

its all so dragon warrior style
what with being able to see the exterior walls & such
that way... it looks more like a stone house than a dungeon or cave sort of deal

Oh and something I didnt catch the first time...

It isn't going to repeat very well. You can see in the top section of the example where you have that 64x128 section of wall that there is a very clear seam in the middle. That seem is going to show its ugly head everywhere :X

i dont think you should make the rocks like that..they look too i dunno...i'd make them like this:



i guess your outlines look too dark..stand out too much

Start with normal cliffs and make cave tiles out of them

They look decent. I have one problem with it though. The stones on the vertical wall, where you can only see the top, seem not to be one average height but stacking up. Fix that and you'll be right.

I don't like these either. I'd prefer entering a level with the default dungeon walls.

i agree, the classic ones dont have good shadding, but the way these are layed out dosent look right, if its supposed to be a dungeon id assume your thinking i dont know, stone age?

i think the outlines are ok but in the stones the colors must go from the top to the bottom darker

I think the outline color you chose for the rocks was a bad choice, you should choose a color that makes the rocks flow better. Other than that, it has a lot of potential.

Stone walls are hard because pillow shading almost has to be used to make it look good.
