Taverns or Other Updates?

I have noticed a recent trend toward comments on the "possibilities" of various features for the taverns. While the taverns do serve a purpose, it is a small one, in my opinion. I rarely order food myself, and only enter the MMT to either make jerky or check the availiable quests. I think (I hope) that I speak for the majority when I say that the taverns are fine as they are. Let's see some real updates... New items, new areas, new islands, ship upgrades, better pets, etc. I would like everyone else's thoughts on this.

Feel free to develop new things. The tavern improvements were made by players, not by staff. They where also made several times before they get approved at last. Mostly people thinks "I make something new and when its done they upload it instandly".
New levels needs to be proved if there are bugs or bad scripts aso.
The last update of MMT was 2 month ago.

Nevertheless, the last update to anything else was even further back. And thus far, votes for other things are in the lead. Furthermore, while it is awesome if players want to develop things, it is not our responsibility (as far as I am aware).

So? it's not our responsibility. But some of us enjoy doing dev work and would jump at the chance to make somthing for Graal Kingdoms.

The point I am trying to make is that the staff should not lay the burden on us to update the game we pay for. Many people love to update, but more don't know how or don't care to. But the primary responsibility for updates lies with the staff, not the players.

Staff dont "lay the burden" on anyone. Most the work done by players is volantary and people would feel proud to see people using things they've made.

I would, I would. But Björn said GK only needs scripters. Then I asked Stefan, and he said GK also needs graphic dudes, level makers etc. Well have to talk to Björn again.

Again you pounce on the staff. I own MMT and I make the level updates...Bjorn uploads them when he approves em. He and stefan even say that if you have map ideas to upload submit it to them and they will upload it if they are fine.

My question to everyone is....why should we just rely on GK staff for updates? Why can't you get up off your butts and help? We pay for this game so shouldn't it be up to us to help better it? To that last one I say yes we should.

People complain that nothing new is released yet they do nothing to help stuff get released faster. If you have a idea for new gani or a new map or even improvements to current maps then pm bjorn or stefan through here and give em your ideas....of goto your kingdom leader and ask for them to get staff to add you to debug so you can help make your kingdom's island look better.

Don't just rely on two people. They need help too you know. You want improvements then you help..plain and simple. This isn't a p2p that your used too where they have a team of like 10-15 people working on it....we all have to do our part so lets start.

I agree 100% with what Raven just said. Its what i've been doing myself. If you want stuff done why not help with it? It will get done faster and you will feel proud and happy to know you had somthing to do with it.

I agree aswell. The thing what makes graal so good is that you can make your own things for it. And some people only play graal to make things for servers its part of the fun of graal.

Let me clarify my original position. I am not angry with the staff, and I don't think they are lazy. I appreciate the work that they do. However, I would like to see updates along different lines than tavern updates or bug fixes.

And on a slight side note (this is something I am annoyed/amused/embarrassed by) I reccomend updating the graalonline.com front page. When someone visits the site and sees "Merry Christmas Graal!", it tends to give a sour impression. I personally would like to be able to see all updates on the main page.
