Mixing Attack Types

I've notice that combining some attack types under specific circumstances (or maybe in general for some of them) does not work. I recently owned a pair of Gloves of Leuceticious that add the electricity attack type to your weapon. While they worked with swords that do only physical damage, and poison damage, they would not work with weapons that did elemental damage, (fire, cold) or weaponmagic damage.

It seems to also effect the type of damage you can inflict while holy posession is cast on you, and in an inconsistent manner. While i can use dian cecht's blinding with a weapon blessed otherwise, i cannot bile with holy posesssion, and in my specific case, while wielding a govannon blessed weapon.

Anyone else notice this? Is there maybe some logic behind it that im just not getting?

Where does it say that Leucetious' gloves give your weapon the electricity attack type? To my knowledge all they do is give you electric resistance.

Some new "dominant attacktype" script to prevent stacking attacktypes or just some dumb bug. Or possibly just the message system not telling you things.

For gloves of leuc it may very well have just been a lack of messages, but for my sword im pretty sure it wasnt. I couldnt bile shell bomys or anything. Funny thing, just now, in a map, i was biling iguanadons with holy posession and a gov weapon, so idk if they are working on it, or it comes and goes or what, but with a wc of -26, i shouldn't have any problem biling bomys.

They are something like dex fhom, ive owned both a pair that did and didnt add electricity damage. I think alan alcs them.

after doing the map, i recast holy posession, weilded the gov weapon, and took a few swings at the bomys again. No bileing. Only theory ive come up with is that it only does the secondary damage to 'enemys' of the god of the blessing , govannon in this case. Its biles rexes and iguanadons, but not bomys. Maybe this is related somehow to the reason why magnifying glasses never do blessing damage, since there are no 'ants'.

Are you sure you were biling those iguanadons or were you just hammering with gov ?(which is what I believe they're weak agains).

This is what ApothiX suggested, when i talked to him this morning in-game, but my damage, with the sword and holy posession, is only 23, i was doing 256 damage. Ive never killed an iguanadon in 2 hits with a gov weapon, muchless dealt 256 damage with a govannon weapon. Im almost certain its bile. I can bile them. Same with rexes, without the holy posession of bile, my highest damage dealt is 69, with holy posession, i can deal close to 200 (always the last hit).

Made a test sword. A glass sword (does 1 damage) and got it blessed to the point where it just slays enemies, and does weapon magic damage.with it weilded, my damage is 9. when hitting rexes with it (no holy posession), i can deal a max of about 32-36ish, seems slay deals something like dmg*3 max. With holy posession, i can still kill a trex in 2-5 hits, and am dealing somewhere upwards of 158 damage for the last hit. It takes me about 20 hits to kill a wolf using the glass sword, with or without holy posession.

Oh, and an update.. Ogma cancels the magical attack type of the forest bow... making it a sissyfied run of the mill bow with luck. But i do no damage with it to anyone with two peices of armor +12 (not counting poisoning), even if they are wearing dual row, and worship ogma (thats like -60 magic resist). I don't think this is a new issue, does someone maybe have some pointers on attack type/blessing interactions? It seems like everytime i come up with a good blessing/weapon combination, it does whatever the hell it wants, rather than what is obvious.
