Someone named "Tyhm" from Graal IMed me...

So someone who called theirself Tyhm IMed me and asked me for my account so he can be a global. Now, I'm not stupid and I'm not going to give my account away, therefore I said no. But besides the fact, I don't think that this was the Tyhm that most of us know from back in the day. Why would he be asking random people for their accounts? If anyone else has been asked by this fellow who says he's "Tyhm from graal" I'd suggest not giving him your account.

P.S.: If anybody wants to know what his AIM screenname was, give me a pm and we can compare what happened.

He cant do anything with simply your account name, why would you not tell someone your account name on graal?

That's a handy way to get Tyhm's AIM if you want it but don't have it. I know Tyhm gets major ... frustrated ... if you don't keep his SN private.

If you're gonna impersonate someone, you might as well impersonate someone that no one expects you to impersonate.

Regardless of that fact, why would you give someone your account even if they said that they were any type of staff/staff member? You paid for that account and they didn't even show you any proof of who they were...

Stefan and Unixmad's english is easy to reproduce.
For Stefan leave out adverbs and words like 'the' a lot. Add lots of "

" and hmm's and you got it.

For Unixmad, just say the weirdest possible thing, again leave out adverbs some other words.. and always.. ALWAYS put an exclaimation point at the end of everything.

Actually, unixmad speaks/types pretty good English... He just uses some words in the wrong tense and stuff. Common mistake when English isn't your first language.

I think Stefan and Unixmad type better than most of the people in the Graal community with English as their ONLY language. Now that is sad. =P

I also received an IM from this "Tyhm" fellow.
Claiming that he was banned for credit card fraud and that he had been going through the inactive member database and asking for accounts so that he could take up his position as a global.
He supplied a long laundry list of acheivements to prove himself, but offered nothing that any oldbie wouldn't know.

P.S: Hello to anyone who might remember me, its been a long time but I thought I ought to come around and post about this.

Yeah I already had his AIM name at the time so I could contact him about admin stuff. After that little situation though that changed. I was there when it happened however. I remember telling DC that Tyhm was gonna own him or something. I believe I even have a screenshot of the whole situation har har. Hilarious stuff.

Tyhm apparently messaged me on aim as well asking for me to just upgrade an account for him. He gave a lot of support backround evidence and then knew an awful lot about me being I used to talk with him a lot. I don't know. He seemed legit and honestly I would upgraded a account for him, like one created from scratch...but I don't have the money because I am just a broke college kid. One thing that got me was he said his account got hacked and Stefan banned it.

What really sucks is I get impersonated the two weeks after I quit my old job, and the day before my new job fell through - leaving me with a lot of lag time to spend online all of a sudden.

I hate IRC, so that's a dead giveaway...and at the moment I'm still using the same computer I've been using since, what, 2000? December 2000, January 2001...it was a XMas present I think. Still can't handle lights, and especially not Graal3D...

Anyway, thems that have the Authority to give me my account back also have the Ability to make sure it's me. The safe money says that if Tyhm asks you to do something you shouldn't, don't, 'cuz I'm likely to get you in trouble either way. :-P
(Then again, I always said if someone asks to be global banned, do it before they give you a good reason to...but nobody ever listened to me)

(Oh yeah, and if anyone was gonna impersonate me, it's gotta be from the unique confluence of former influence and unlikelyhood of return - sucks to impersonate Stefan when he gets on)

(Oh, and, duh, I still have my account. :-P)

Why would Tyhm beg people to upgrade his account? Can't he just let his old account be unbanned, password changed and upgrade it himself? :/
