Graalonline.com - VIP Area

What's to Come...
NPC Code:

Version 3.0
The long-anticipated New Version is nearly here! Stefan has
worked for a long time translating all of Graal's code into C++,
redesigning the language, adding cross-platform features and
overhauling the entire engine. With this release, Graal will
work also on Linux and Macintosh computers!
World Hosting & Development
Together with a token-based hosting plan, we intend to release
revolutionary new tools and funnel everything we've done in
Graal - you can download a template Graal Kingdoms, a Fractal
Terrain Generator, and make your own world the way you always
wanted it.
Multi-lingual
We are currently putting the finishing touches on a French
version of Graal Kingdoms. The translation tools we have at our disposal are very powerful; soon we will be able to make a
Spanish and German version as well.

This should really be updated...

VIP is just a butchered version of Gold. Why call it VIP anyway?

It's stupid I don't see any advantages of VIP either. Graal3D is a loner thing :X and that VIP area aint exactly current, lol.

The main use I see for it is cheaper for people that want forums access and not gold. Also you need VIP to rent a PW. We also must not forget VIP did get to use V4 first. Its not much but it is at least more then VIP used to get.

This is kind of a rehash of what Sage Cypher said, but I like the VIP plan. I don't play Kingdoms or Zone very often, so VIP lets me play everything except those for much less, and if I do want to play them I can wait until the weekend. Getting betas is a perk too

I double that! I don't play GK and Zone, thus, for me, VIP is a better (economically) plan then the Gold because VIP is cheaper per year, and although doesn't allow much on GK and Zone, I don't play them anyways. Then other VIP advantages apply, although because I'm a Linux Player, G4 isn't released to Linux VIPs and has been for Windows Gold

I triple it! VIP is cheaper for me, as I, too, don't really play the Gold servers.

I like VIP because it lets me do the two things I do on Graal: Use v4 with no limitations and post with no limits. :P

Don't forget webhosting. That comes quite handy when you don't want to purchase a domain/webhosting. Also, Graal3D isn't a 'loner' thing. In my opinion Graal3D would get plenty of players, it just lacks developers.

Would be nice if the webhosting was up right now.

I second that.

Additional thought:

Though I do agree the VIP lounge is in dire need of updating.

And as I'll say for the 9832759823th time, I hate that damned new PW system. Just server jump a portion of the bought playerworlds and you'll see why: ****ty content. Pretty much anybody with $60-$100 (development/management skills not required) can get a server now. I wonder how much of Graal's bandwidth is being eaten up by horribly inefficient scripts made by these people.
And, of course, the fact that you would have to pay to work. It was bad enough to have to get one upgrade way back when, but having to do it constantly only to waste your time developing is far worse. And then the server you've been working so hard on and buying all those subscriptions to do so for gets bumped into gold/VIP only for a long time, with no players and a lot of the good staff members quitting because of it. It's a reversed job (you pay to work rather than you work to get paid).

I wonder how much equipment Unixmad and Stefan have if they plan to be able to support such things.
