Exclamation Graal v4.02 revision 12 released

A new version has been released for Windows and Linux, download by connecting to the server list. A new Mac version should follow early next week, will try to make the microphone working there and speed up Graal3D a little bit.

Updates:
- Options for changing the visible distance, detail factor and turn on/off the terrain details

- It is displaying a message when it is starting Graal3D, so you don't need to wonder anymore why there is no window for some seconds

- Added more particle engine features:
emitter.wraptoclippingbox = true -> lets particles appear on the other side of the clipping box once they leave the box
emitter.cliptoscreen = true -> updates the clipping box to match the visible area (only the x and y values of the clippingbox are updated)
Those two options should be used together. The advantage is that it makes rain and snow effects look nicer since the rain drops and snow flakes don't disappear when you are walking fast. Once they leave on the left side of the screen they appear on the right side, and vice versa.

- Modified the tiles drawing to cause less problems on SiS cards (mainly notebooks), please test the offline mode and Graal Kingdoms if you have such a gfx card, older versions of Graalv4 made problems there (black background or only lines of tiles)

- Added script command openGraalURL(url) for secure login to the website, this is interesting for opening the upgrade page, guild panel etc.

- The blue and green sets of GUI profiles are now added at the start of Graal (built-in) - GuiBlueWindowProfile etc. (you might still need to the guiblue*.png and guigreen*.png gfx on your server though)

- Playerlist fix: players from other servers don't display red pm bubbles anymore

Wasn't that done before?

Before when switching servers, the GUI controls for static scripts (such as the playerlist) were sometimes reset to the default profiles.

Same for me.
I'm bumpy on Rudora, Era and GK. I think it's to do with the gmaps.

jerky

It does seem more jerky than before, and there are still a few tileset messups.

I also notice that on Linux, when reading signs, my character faces the direction of the key I press, i.e. the right key moving onto the next page, which it did not previously do.

Seems that walking around is a bit odd too, especially when holding down more than one key.

Just to add to that, sword use is also odd because I can change direction mid-sword use and the gani will continue to run.

What kind of tileset messups? Only on Kingdoms? Do you have a SiS card ?

Sounds like a script problem, on which server?

It's on Rudora. I don't think it's a script problem since there is no custom movement in place.

Also, it didn't happen before this revision.

What would happen if someone scripted OpenGraalURL("http://www.google.com") or the sort?

It would display GraalOnline.com's "Thank you for logging in, ApothiX" and forward you to http://www.google.com.

The login is local to graalonline.com, I believe.

It sends you to www.graalonline.com/accounts/

To use it properly you do openGraalURL("/folder/page.php");

ie: openGraalURL("/members/viewprofile.php?accname=VulcanP2P");
